I have little to nothing in common with straight guys. So making friends with them is often tough. Straight girls? No problems there. But then they get engaged or have kids, and we don't have much time to spend with each other anymore, so that sucks.

And sadly, I've totally had "straight" male friends move in for the kiss while drunk. More times than I'd like.

Our religious ideologies may get in the way of that.

But yeah, all of my straight female friends eventually got married and started having kids, and now those are the priorities in their life. And some of them cut off contact altogether, because while it was apparently totally ok to have a gay friend whilst single, when married and certainly when having children, it isn't. For some stupid reason. :/

You know lots of women get divorced after being married for 10+ years so they are single. And they've had and raised their kids so they aren't looking to have any more. They also like to go hang out and have a good time. My best friend falls into this category and she has a few gay friends (both sexes). They have an absolute blast when they go out. I've only had the pleasure of going out once with them but once was enough....hubby was extremely displeased and that was the end of that! lol

I know. I'm actually one of those women. Though I may actually do the marriage thing again, I don't really have any plans to have more kids. I'm on the pill, though, and it shit happens, well, then shit happens. But I'm not trying to go out and have more kids.

And I'm holding out hope, folks. The good, but frustrating thing about the world of the internet is that I have a number of really great online friends that I am fairly certain would make really great RL friends, if only if it weren't for that blasted distance issue. Then again, I don't intend to stay in Cincinnati much longer anyway.

TGM I just went out a little bit ago and got some Little Caesar's Crazy Bread. I had been craving it and it was delicious.

I can't stand Taco Bell. I can make everything they make and it tastes much better.
