The way you post all the time you make yourself sound so old. When in reality you're barely even old enough to have been a grandmother for that long!

Relatively recently (like, about a month ago or so), my father's mother (my cool grandmother) had passed. Liver failure, something going critically wrong with one of her medications or something, I don't know exactly. She always had such energy and enthusiasm about her - she was one of those people for whom age seemed little more than a technicality. She was more than 80 years old, though if you saw her you wouldn't think she aged a day past 60.

Then again, my other grandmother (the one from Tennessee - that really says all I have to say about her) is about 5 years older than my father, but has been a grandmother for at least a decade longer than you have, so I guess you're not the most extreme case I've heard of . . .

As a warning, I am incredibly tired and possibly drunk. Possibly. I'm making hella typos so far, and I don't know when I'm going to stop caring about fixing all of them. Also I hope everybody here brought their f-bomb masks.

Just to rub it in the face of those of you going "I have a boring life and I am bored".

Today, I woke up after letting my snooze go a few times. I was still sleepy. It was 7:30 AM. This is two hours after I usually wake up. Took a shower, dicked around for a bit on the internets, left home.

I rode trains for two and a half fucking hours; mostly without a seat. Once I got done with that, I rode a fucking bus for 15 minutes, also no seat.

Getting to my destination I was told to put on The World's Most God-awful Slippers, which kinda surprised me because this is Japan; if there's two things you would expect them to get right it's slippers and slipper technologies. I had lunch, which consisted of rice, shit I poked at, and some awesome fucking meat things. Except for the fish which had bones in it, which just what the fuck, those are so small I couldn't be arsed to take them out with a knife and fork, what the fuck do you want me to do with fucking chopsticks? Assholes. On the bright side they gave us the same green tea that my college served when I first got here; I still hate the aftertaste, but on the other hand I needed a new damn bottle so hells yeah.

After that we had a little practice, and then the main event, an hour and a half of playing with kids.

And my kids I mean fucking first and second graders. Eight years old. While their parents watched.

After that, another fucking bus ride back to the train station, where I rode for another 45 minutes. Arriving at my station, I stood around one of the busiest parts of the country trying to meet up with someone I didn't actually know in real life. We met up, マックって、went to the concert.

three hours of talking with random people I knew from previous concerts, loud goddamn music. Had two drinks. I don't drink, and I don't think I'd even qualify as 'buzzed', but fuck if I'm not fucking tired as fuck. I don't think it helped. Of course after the concert I was speaking Japanese pretty much the entire goddamn way back, so I was pretty proud of myself for having what should easily be one of the more incapicitating days of my life not involving illness and still being able to hold up a conversation. And then I tried to sleep on the train, despite not actually having a seat until I transfered to my local train.

Also it should be noted that I DID ALL OF THIS IN FUCKING TOKYO.



So in other words: Feba is coming off a depressing yesterday, fucking tired, on a substance he hasn't used before, and is loving every minute of it. Even the "Ok, I nearly fell on a second grader. Should probably try to avoid that" moments.

If you want to pay to put gas in my truck, by all means, I'll go out. But now that I'm jobless and therefore income-less and the mass transit here in Tampa (and the rest of the US, really) sucks donkey balls, I'm going to sit my ass at home until I get the money to actually go out and do things.

I mean, at the end of the day, I'd rather forego the drinks in favor of being able to pay my rent when the first of the month comes along.

Honestly, it must be nice to have the money to dick around, but I don't, and I'm being responsible, and yes, completely boring.

And let me add, walking is out of the question, as well, as all of the most entertaining things happen at night, and there is no fucking way I am walking alone to anywhere at night.

My freaking moron of a brother is tripping on LSD right now, so I'm basically his keeper for the time being.

Not to mention that his friend, also tripping on LSD, started freaking out and trashed both our place and that of a neighbor. It was kind of scary to see that guy out of control when you've barely risen from sleep (from precious few hours of sleep, mind you) from all the ruckus he's causing, and basically trying to play dead to not draw attention to yourself. My brother had to call the cops and subsequently (still under the effects of acid - he managed to pull off sounding cool-headed on the phone very well, though) had something of an emotional breakdown.

Now we're both basically trying to un-trash both our place and that of our neighbor.



However, it is difficult to say that your post isn't inspirational, Feba. I definitely feel like I want to do stuff now. There's just more important stuff that needs to be done first . . .

Well here you go...When I turned 18, and I mean the very day, a friend of the family took advantage of me. At the time, you couldn't see it coming but afterwards it was a consensus that he had been planning it. He wanted to take me and my mother to lunch at Red Lobster that day. It was a Friday and they are very busy that day. My mother had to pass since we probably would not be done before she had to go to work but told John to take me anyways. When we got there we had to wait for a table so he took me into the bar area and started plying me with drinks. My first day to legally drink and not being a drinker, it was purely to get me drunk. Daiquiris are like punch, until you stand up. lol So empty stomach, several daiquiris and he decided to skip lunch and "take me home". Well then he said that my dad would be home from work around the same time and he didn't want to get in trouble bringing home a drunk teen so he took me to his place to "sober me up". Long story short, he took advantage of me and after that it was pretty much the last time we ever heard from him. So on my 18th birthday, I was taken out, he got me drunk, took advantage of me, lost my virginity, and I got pregnant. Nine months later, I had a baby girl and named her Nicole. So I was a young momma and now I'm a "young" gramma. I don't consider myself young because my health issues really make me feel 20 years older....at least. lol Now, if my father had let me marry Thomas Micheal Feeney when we lived in Aberdeen, Ohio and I was 13....I just may have given your grandmother a run for her money! lololololololol

I agree Feba, you younguns should get out and about and enjoy the world around you. But for some of us, its just not going to happen Feba. Life deals you a shit sandwich sometimes and until you are done eating it, there aren't any fun and games. My husband is a control freak, I can barely go anywhere without him. (And trust me, going with him is NOT an option. He's grown roots! lol) He also controls all the money so there is not a lot I can do with no money for transportation or to do things is there? lol So you just enjoy yourself in Japan Feba! Living is for the young!

Which still makes him an idiot, mind you, but at least he tends to be dead serious about stuff like this. He did somehow manage to successfully go vegetarian, after all.

Drunk Feba is indeed awesome.

So, last night one of my two friends called me and asked me to go out drinking with him. I should note that when he called, I had already had several drinks at home, and had actually taken my nightly sleep meds to knock me out. Combined with alcohol, they make me fairly loopy. If I just, you know, go to sleep, I'm fine. But if I stay up? Speech becomes slurred, I tend to ramble, and my short term memory is complete shit. It's a very weird experience. But like an idiot I agreed to meet up with him.

So while we only had four beers each, I talked (or rather, slurred) a mile a minute, and he didn't seem to notice at all. I kept changing the subject, and forgetting what I was talking about, and to be quite honest, I still have no fucking idea what I talked about most of that time. He offered to take me out to breakfast after the bars closed, but I opted instead to come home. Then, as he's dropping me off, he like, moved in for a kiss. And in my head, I'm just like "DAMN IT" because there is another friend who clearly doesn't want to just be friends. No wonder he put up with my behavior last night. Ugh.

Then I stupidly had ANOTHER drink at home, and basically passed out in my room. Woke up this morning with a splitting headache (I forgot to drink a bunch of water before bed), so, good times. I am so NOT drinking tonight it's not even funny.

So yeah, my life is frustrating.
