So one of my coworkers was chatting with me by my desk today and she kept leaning over to spit in my trash can. Some fucking people... And this isn't the usual annoying bitch I hate, it's someone else entirely.

Raydeus, I'm pretty sure Feba is noncombustible. I mean come on, when has "kill it with fire" been applicable to Feba? Ever? We'd have to work much harder than a simple primitive fire to get rid of Feba.

Ok, excuse me, but when did something like this become acceptable!?? Really, I'm serious. Spitting is NOT acceptable in public...PERIOD. Use a hanky, a napkin, a can, whatever and do it without people seeing but spitting in a can at someone ELSE'S desk right in front of them is totally unacceptable!

My son recently had bronchitis (so he had a legitimate reason to have to spit) and was coughing up "lung buggers" and even he knew to get up, leave the room, and use the toilet.

Yeah um she has one eye (not kidding) and facial hair so I'm pretty sure this barn dweller has no concept of acceptable behavior. Not that that's an excuse for it, but I'm not going to make a big deal over it when I'm (hopefully) moving out of the department soon if I can do anything about it. I may mention it to the supervisor in passing though. She's one of those people who, if you get on her "bad side," will do anything possible to hate on you but the funny thing is, it's mostly just hot air. She'll go to the supervisors over inane crap that just kind of minorly irks her but won't accomplish anything by it. Like, she likes this guy we work with. Well, I'm fucking him. That's not common knowledge (actually, it's speculation to everyone except he and I, because we don't go out of the way to make it obvious), but I'm sure she suspects just like everyone else. Well, she's gross. Obviously. But she hates it when I flirt with him, which only makes me flirt with him more just to piss her off. She's a perfectionist type, too, so I always find flaws with her work just because I know it bugs the shit out of her. This makes her annoyed with me, but nothing she has said or done to try to undermine me has really gone anywhere. It's funny as hell to watch her get all worked up. And then I'll chat with her sometimes just to add more fuel to the fire.

So yeah, taking this to the supervisor will make for a very lulz moment. IRL trolling ftw.

I'm sorry but spitting in public is not acceptable, imo, and in some areas you can be fined for it. Going off that, I'd say that no it is not acceptable.

There are lots of stupid things you can get fined for in some areas.

Oral sex is not permissible while in the military. I found that odd. I also didn't follow that rule, but it wasn't like someone was going to rat me out for it. What guy would? Get me in trouble for that? Oh, no more BJs, okay, that works for me. Oh, not for you? Shouldn't have gotten me in trouble motherfucker. XD

Not just oral sex, but sex in any position besides missionary is punishable under the UCMJ.

But your point and what you're saying are two different things. Your point is that spitting is disgusting. This is a personal opinion, one which I mostly agree with.

Then you go and use the 'appeal to authority' fallacy as a defense. That something is illegal has very little to do with whether it's permissible, except for the opinions of the people that wrote the law.
