TGS 2010 report:

Raydeus:
- Gaming schools are mostly meh. Looks like only a couple of them had any collaboration, most looked like three man projects at most.

- I walked by the android/iphone section, but seriously, cell phone gaming is for killing time, so fuck you.

- The only thing worth commenting on Ryu ga Gotoku is that it was right next to, and half the size of, the booth where sega was hosting a Hatsune Miku concert on a larger-than-life screen.

YM: No first party Nintendo at TGS, soz.

Anyway, I got a pretty huge haul; I'll go through it tomorrow. I'm glad I went, but nearly throwing up and having to leave the Ni No Kuni line was very disappointing. Especially since I'd already been standing for an hour, and they had very nice burlap sacks for free after the demo. At least TGS had translators and nurses on staff, and I'd brought my guide book (only intended to use it for the train maps; but medical terminology is not exactly something I'm familiar with either), so it wasn't like a swarm of orange shirts going "what the fuck is that gaijin doing sitting there. He just keeps telling me 'I feel bad', what does that even mean"

That's dissapointing to say the least.

I was expecting the Android stand to at least have some nice Android based phones with decent games as an added bonus.

Gonna look for that Miku concert though.

Good luck. TGS was covered with staffers holding up "NO CAMERAS" signs, and yelling at anyone who started flashing pics. Obviously it's kind of hard to tell if someone is taking a cell phone picture, but you're not going to get the full concert unless it's officially released.

On my commute in this morning, there were two women; at least 25. One of them kept going "Zetsubou shita...", whereupon the second one would stick her finger into the first one's mouth.

They kept this up for at least ten minutes before I got to my station.

Well, nothing quite that odd, but there's the people that don't stare at me until I get ready to get off the train. As if they hadn't noticed I was a curly haired white boy before.

Also middle schoolers keep sitting on my arm. It is kind of annoying.

I mean, I'm not really sure what to tell you that's weirder than that. Other than the time I flung a guy into a steel pillar and he apologized to me, but he really did have it coming.

Oh, you might know about the people who pass out fliers and shit in the streets; they're all over the place. One of my (Japanese) friends actually apologized to one of them for being too busy digging through her bag to grab his crap as soon as he shoved it in her face.

But then the weirder part of that is probably "Feba has friends?"

It's 2:20. I get off at 5:00. I get to play FFXIV at 5:00... tomorrow... I want to fill my time with work, but it's hard when it's something I've already done before, even though there's some new stuff in here.

Tomorrow I'm going to wear my Brink shirt to Gamestop to pick up FFXIV. Will those guys even realize how leet I am?
