    As someone who's lived in Kansas most of his life, I've never noticed any "soda/pop" talk here. People generally just call them 'drinks'. If you have to be specific, it'd be 'soft drinks'. Then again, bourgeois area.

    I will never forgive the south, though. I actually had someone offer me a "Pepsi Coke" once.

      Suicides are the best. Had to be sparing with the root beer, though. Otherwise it would just overpower everything else.

          The only reason I am awake right now is due to being sick, and slipping in to slumber very very early yesterday.

          Feels like a stomach bug. So, could be worse, but FFFFF.

                I'm up early for a Saturday, but a friend and I are helping another friend move one piece of her furniture out of a friend's house where she'd been storing it for a while, followed by other various fun activities. (I use the term "fun" loosely in this case). I'm just finishing up my scrambled eggs and then I'm going to get dressed and by that time, he should be here.

                    Ahh. I knew that pero means but in Spanish but I thought for some reason that it was some other Japanese word. I know absolutely nothing of Japanese.

                    I do that a lot with aqui and ici. And sometimes when I lose my words in Spanish, I automatically default to French. I took four years of honors French but I have a million times more practical experience using Spanish - and I've never taken a single Spanish class. It's kind of weird how that worked out, but my kids speak Spanish. I've been losing my French as I learn more Spanish since I don't use both languages, and that sucks, but that's how it is I guess. If I could use them both constantly I could be tri-lingual! But I don't, and I'm barely bilingual lol.
