I check my bank account online every day, so please explain to me how the insurance payment (that, according to Progressive, was drawn from my account on the 22nd) showed up today but was dated as having shown up on the 26th?

Honestly I bet they're holding that shit and making my bank account look like it has more just to keep me spending so that I end up incurring overdraft fees. If that's what they're doing I'll be glad to find another bank. Fuck all that shit.

Ya my son got socked with overdraft fees today.....6 of them. He played roulette with the bank and lost. He had $35 in his account and over the weekend he pared it down to $3. Then late last night he bought something for $37. Now he thought that all the little charges he made before the last one would come in first and be deducted first. Then he thought the last one would come in late today or tomorrow and he would have his check early today and beat the bank before they would deduct it. All of his purchases came in at the same time and they told him they always deduct the largest amount first. So the $37 one was deducted first and bounced and then they deducted all the little $3, $5, etc ones which bounced too. $35 a pop overdraft fees....$35 for a $3 item...

Last year in the summer we worked 4 day weeks and had fridays off. Since we had fridays off, paydays were moved to Thursday morning. One of my coworkers thought he heard that we would be getting paid the same way this year, so he set all his bills to auto-pay on that Thursday. Man...that guy was totally pissed when he realized there was no money in his account.

Thing is, I have the money, and I didn't overdraft. I knew exactly how much was in my account. They didn't get me. They probably got other people with that crap, but not me.

Just annoys the shit out of me that they even try that kind of shit. I thought they weren't allowed to do those shady business practices anymore.
