Edith Wharton penned Age of Innocence. She also wrote The Buccaneers. I just watched the BBC miniseries of that a couple of days ago.

Tardis is a Bobby Box used in Dr. Who as a time travelling spaceship.

I think "mischief managed" is from the Harry Potter series. I've read the books and seen the movies but I'm not a big enough fan to remember phrases...but I'm pretty sure it is.

Edith Wharton did indeed write Ethan Frome (which seriously folks, comes in at under 100 pages - a very fast read, and it's good. Sad, but good.), as well as The Age of Innocence, which is amazing both in book and movie form (mostly. I mean, Wynona Ryder? Really?), The Buccaneers (which is a'ight), and my personal favorite, The House of Mirth, which, I am going to be honest, does not contain a lot of mirth.

TM - I don't appreciate the Brontes or Hawthorne all that much either! But Victorian/Regency/Gilded Age-ish fiction? That's some shit I can (and often do) get into.

I used "mischief managed" because it was an actual conversation we had. He claimed no knowledge of Harry Potter whatsoever, save for knowing that there were books and films in said genre. I hurt my ankle running last week, and whilst navigating a steep/slippery slope Thursday night, at the bottom I for whatever reason said: "mischief managed...wait, you don't even get that. Sorry. I'm a dork." Which he did find amusing, somewhat.

Just got home from a night of heavy drinking. Now waiting on my man to come back from Wal-Mart, where he is buying a new air mattress, as the one he had before got a hole in it since the last time he used it, and he decided he needs another one and that I'm still borrowing one from him in the mean time. (Otherwise I'd buy my own, but I'm getting my bed moved here in a week dammit, what the hell do I need one for.) Since he was gonna let me borrow the one he had but it got fucked up he is out getting me another one that he will loan me, isn't he great? At nearly 5 AM.

Well, I can unpack some more in the afternoon, I suppose. Really tired I just know that I can't sleep on the floor unless I literally pass out, and I'm seriously not even close to being that drunk. The fact that we followed up our drinking at IHOP didn't help that matter (since I actually wanted to be drunk so I'd sleep anywhere) but I can't complain because it was delicious and I didn't pay for it. I has been a while since I've been to IHOP.

I had fun tonight. I'm just not looking forward to going back to work so soon - seems like this weekend has barely started. Fucking move felt like work. Lol.
