Feba was the reason I found this forum, no lie. Back when Alla or Zam or whatever the fuck it was got sold to IGE, I chose not to post there anymore because RMT is BAD, and at the urging of Feba (who posted the link to this place a dozen times) I migrated. I think there's still a few of us left who migrated from Alla back in what, 06?

Good thing, too, because coming here - and eventually, over to BG - I stopped being a total noobish idiot.

I don't know what it was like back in the good old days, but right now I think this is easily the best FFXI forum out there.

Alla is full of idiots and rog.
BG is full of hate, flames, spam and memes. What little useful information is there is impossible to find because of the shoddy organization.
KI is haven to self congratulatory assholes with a pinch of pretension and a dash of BG's attitude.

DiV has friendly and helpful people who I feel I can actually give a damn about at the end of the day. It's like the cool table of the FFXI community.

I always think of it like a standardized unit. BG possesses 1.6 Armandos, oddly. Despite him barely posting there. But they have enough fractional Armandos to technically have more calculating power than DiV.

However, they're bogged down with sub-par infrastructure.

This was my Monday ... rewind to two months ago, my brakes were grinding really badly and so we replaced the pads. The rotors didn't look too bad so we left them alone and figured we'd get about six months out of them.

Fast-forward to last Tuesday, I'm driving home and I notice the grinding is back, so we were puzzled about what was causing the fast wear, and determined it must be the caliper sticking, which caused my rotor to be all kinds of fucked up.

We stayed late after work to replace the pads, caliper, and the rotor.




That is my worn rotor ... for those who don't know, there's supposed to be a 1/4 (ish) inch of metal (like on the outer side when the rotor was still on the truck) where all that corrosion and busted-looking shit is. Now that we figured out that the caliper was sticking and causing it to wear at a retardedly high rate, I can keep my brakes in good working condition for a lot longer.

Wednesday we're gonna pull the tire off again and make sure nothing else is fucking up. Best part is I have a great friend who can do this shit for me, saves me a ton of money.

That's what mine were doing.. BAD.. The bank switched my account and they were supposed to notify ,me before, but didn't, and now I have to wait till my card comes in.


Why would they do that without me already having the new card? Stupid.. I guess I could go withdraw directly from the bank.
