          Guess who had fun today.



          So after this, my laptop went from running at an average of 88C to around 58C. It was 53 immediately after boot, instead of 85. I pulled a clump of lint out of the fan that would make dryers blush, it was about the size of a AA battery. And I only have six screws I can't figure out what the hell to do with!


          Finally Mhurron will admit his love for me.

              Leftover screws are always fun, I usually have 1-2 left over after every project. I just toss them in a bowl in case I realize where they go later.

He laughed and said, "Oh god mom that has to be driving you crazy seeing that!" Whenever he works on stuff I'm so picky about where because of static, pet dander, etc.

                      Only had problems with one piece of fur really, threw it across the room and was fine after that. As terrible as it was inside though, didn't exactly need a cold room. Sort of like how you can thaw meat using cold water-- at that point, it's not getting any worse. I wasn't too concerned about static, tapped the little metal grip things in the toolbox (which needs to be replaced... those pincer things are from my mom's beading kit. Had to use them to hold on to the thin little screw drivers when I started untwisting most of the screws, no other way to get a firm enough grip on them) frequently, also you'll notice I took off my socks. Wearing jeans and a t-shirt, wasn't moving around a ton, weather's not too dry, nothing major to agitate the situation as long as you're not an idiot about it. Was meaning to buy an anti-static wristband at some point, but wound up never getting to the point where I opened up my box often enough to need it.

                      Obviously if I were doing this for a living I'd be a bit more careful, but considering I started off my day by pricing up E5400s....

                          You guys are seriously missing out though. I took a photo of the clump of lint I removed. If only the flash had been right on it, you would've gotten to see Feba's hand.

                          EDIT: By the way, if you're wondering what happened to it, the clump was returned to the thick carpet from whence it came.
