I am seriously considering buying a 360. I have a $100 Best Buy gift card so only some of it would be out of pocket but man ... I don't know. That's still $200 out of pocket plus I'll need some games so I don't know if I can justify the expense.

Both my accounts did actually, but it was for what they consider fraud, basically, because I'm perpetually poor and I have to change cards so that I can be sure to have money available to play the game, they counted that as fraudulent activity. All of the cards I used were in my name (except like one month I used my mom's, and I told SE that on the phone) but they weren't able to reverse it.

And yeah, it was like four cards, but when you see J**** A****** on all of them, and the same address, shouldn't that clue you in that it's the same person paying for the account but with different credit? Then again, I've never really expected SE to be anything but retarded.

So yeah. Yamila (my mule) was banned in May or June I think? And I cracked open POL one day randomly in like October I think and found that Aks had the ban message, it was well after I quit but I can't remember when exactly, so I called just to ask and when they told me what it was I basically just told them, "Whatever," because I didn't play anymore either way, just wanted to know what I was banned for.

Kind of sucks, but I really had no intention of going back and now SE made it pretty easy not to even be tempted.

The Doppler Effect is when the frequency with which something is received/perceived goes up because the source is moving towards you. In the case of Metroid, the missiles have a max rate of fire. However, if Samus has moved closer towards the enemy before the next missile is released, then the next missile will take less time to arrive and the frequency with which the boss is hit goes up, exceeding the normal rate of fire. It just so happens that the increased frequency is high enough that the next missile arrives before the boss can move. It's a tool-assisted video but awesome nonetheless.

Incidentally the Doppler Effect applies to sound as well and is the reason the roar of a car's engine changes as it passes you by if it's moving fast enough, giving that characteristic "zoom" sound.

Wait a second. I can understand how being right next to the enemy can improve your rate of fire to however fast you can press buttons in some games, but how does getting closer raise the rate missiles fire at? Or is it because the missiles aren't actually being fired at a higher rate, just received at a higher rate?
