Hong Kong is part of China, but there's a special arrangement. They're technically considered a "Special Administrative Region" if I remember correctly. Something like they handle their domestic issues with autonomy, while the PRC handles foreign issues; like plenty of other protectorate countries. The slogan is One Country, Two Systems, though, so I think it's jumping the gun a wee bit to say Hong Kong is a separate country.

Honestly, it annoys me that so many countries have annoying confusing crap like this. The US has Washington, D.C., which is the capital of the United States, even though it isn't in any of them; Japan has Tokyo, which is a city, only it's made up of other entities that call themselves cities.

Semi-related to Soupboy, I had a dream recently where a classmate was giving me a ride for some reason. As he dropped me off, he goes '明けおめ’. I was completely fed up. Just "argh, dude. not now. I am not in the mood today". So yeah, I am now hearing Japanese in my dreams. Not sure how I feel about that.

I woke up at 11, ate breakfast, and the took a catnap for two hours. In that time I had a dream where I was riding with somebody who did some kind of insane stunt with the car, and immediately afterwards a police car appeared in front of where we were (which made little sense considering what the stunt involved, basically drifting across the space in between medians in such a way that the car was facing the correct direction on the road after the stunt was finished). One of the police was a Latina girl who was chastising my brother in Spanish (well, we do live in Florida), though my brother, just like in real life, couldn't understand a word of it, and though I distinctly remember saying "Él no habla español," I can't remember anything exactly that she said. During the same catnap I swear I had another dream involving Spanish, but I don't recall it as much as that first one.

That's not the Shadow Lord statue; not even close. That's the in game model. The statue is far more grey, and is in a very different pose.

I've more or less been on vacation all week already, lol. My work days so far consist of sending at max two emails per day.

Monday I had to draft a business letter, forge the CEO's signature, and edit an email trail to make it look like he had signed and attached the scan of it back to me(this was per his instructions, he was being pretty lazy)...that's been the largest amount of work I've done on any given day in 3 weeks of this job.

Hi peoples and Happy New Year.

I have been away for the past month or so , sorting things out with my life, new house, new car, been through 2 girlfriends, addicted to travian (thanks feba for introducing me to it! ) Busy at work etc.and loosing my gran on the 22nd December to a hard battle with cancer.

I am hoping 2010 is going to be a good year, we have some new jobs coming in to work, me going back to the gym and hopefully a new FF to play I also want to get back into this community that I have been away from for a while and send hugs to all those people I know here.

May we all have a good year this year and slash plenty of beastmen

Oh Jarre, I'm so sorry to hear your gramma has passed. Thats so hard to go through so close to Christmas. My dad passed right before Christmas too and you always remember that during the season. I hope the New Year is filled with much happier and healthier times!
