Rage.
My cousin came over for dinner and a bit of hang out the other day and we got to talking about how we both wish Rare would make Killer Instinct 3. This lead to us wanting to play KI Gold on the N64 for a while, so I went to grab it on my shelf and... it isn't there. All my N64 games are in one spot neatly lined up on the shelf and there is one spot on the end where it's obvious there used to be a cart there.
I've turned my entire fucking house upside down and after searching all the places that would have made sense began searching in all the most ridiculous places it may possibly have ended up. I even found the box stowed away in some obscure corner in the garage but it's completely empty. There are only a few people I would trust enough to loan my games to and I know none of them would be interested in KI anyway, but I asked them just in case and they don't have it either. The only place I haven't looked is under my mattress, and for good reason: it's a water bed mattress. I checked around the sides but if it managed to sneak all the way under it somehow there's no way for me to look underneath without draining most of the water. If I actually thought there was any reasonable chance it could be under there I would do it.
I could easily buy another one for ~20 bucks, but fuck I don't want to buy a game I already own again.
