    Somebody bought a subscription for children's books with my credit card, and had them sent to my house. The AUDACITY of identity thieves these days, it's killing me inside.

      Out of all the things to buy.. Children Books? They risked years in prison and fines for children books!?

        Well at least it wouldn't be embarssing sitting at a desk in a very small but busy bank and trying to explain that someone stole your identity and bought childrens books. I sat there and had to read the charges that I had to the clerk with 8 people in line and within hearing range. All of them were from very nasty porn sites......god damn Russians! lol One woman complained that she was offended to have to hear that while she was in line so they ended up moving me and the clerk into the managers office. /sigh

          Oh yeah.. Listen to this..

          A couple years ago I was in the middle of modding out my car so I was looking all over the net for parts and other modifications when one day I was on beloved myspace and saw an ad for car sponsorships. I was excited! I want my car sponsored! So I click on the link and they explain what they would do to my car. They would pretty much overhail/pimp/trick my ride and I would have to go to car shows and show it off and get paid. Who the hell wouldn't do this!? So all i had to do was pay $98 dollars for my membership and I was in. You best believe I hopped on that. Well.. 6 months had passed, no parts, no portfolio, no car shows.. zip.. zilch.. nada. So I e-mail them. No response.. I call them.. No response..
          I wont ever, EVER, click on another internet AD. Haven't since.

          Now these morons have commercials for it. Maybe they were legit and some shit happened. But that his highly unlikely. I was had.

                There are scams everywhere. Currently there is this face cream commercial on TV that caught my eye. It said it was a free sample and you just pay shipping and handling. Well, like most ladies my age, I was tempted to order some up. Good thing I have more than 2 brain cells to rub together and didn't do it. A while later I looked it up on the BBB site and saw that it was a scam. You pay for the shipping for the cream and they have your cc info. They continue to charge your card, you email/call and they apologize but after a couple months they are still charging your card. Anything that sounds too good to be true, 99% of the time, usually is.

                          Ahh, speaking of scams I got 2.

                          Back when I was in college, I was one of the more knowledgeable people in my class. Anyways, I always ended up sitting next to this one girl who was "Dazed and Confused" when it came to website design, but yet she always sat next to me so she could ask me questions. So, this one day she comes into class all excited because she got one of those nigerian "We need somebody to pose as a relative and collect this money" emails that she thought was real. The sad thing was, I repeatedly told her it was a scam, but she didn't believe me. I ended up rallying in a few other people with me, I even got the instructor to tell her it was a scam, and it wasn't until then that she gave up.

                          The other day at work, one of my co-workers was telling me that his son sold a broken laptop (LCD Dead) on ebay and somebody from Nigeria won it. He said that his son had tried to sell something recently and that the person that won it was in another country, but ebay cancelled it because either the account was stolen or fraudulent. So, he asks me what I think about the Nigerian buyers, since they want his son to ship the laptop before they pay for it. I told him "Hell no, don't do it 419 SCAM!!!!!!" I'll have to ask him monday if his son went through with it or not. I also tried to explain to him that if his son didn't know any better, they could phish out his paypal info and steal his account.

                                Yeah that's exactly what I would have though after seeing this cute girl turning into a sailor after she got more comfortable.
