I'm starting to get tired of the "Trend Haircuts" that I've been seeing alot lately. The main one is what I call "The Fade Hawk". It is buzz haircut with a bit of taller hair left in the back and on the top to fade into a mohawk. I've been seeing them everywhere lately but the best one I've seen was the one Ron Artest had during the Rockets series in the NBA. Althought it was cool looking....

Not "off topic", but didn't feel it was worth starting a whole new thread over in the FFXI forums.

I had a total Leeroy Jenkins moment this weekend. Was helping LS get a bunch of Soboro Sukehiros in Riverne B01. And somebody says "Somebody pull a cluster, let's start farming tars". What they had meant was pull from the cave in front of us. I ended up pulling from behind us, from the open area with Slow, and pulled one, and aggroed another, so we had 3 clusters on the group. I kinda wiped about 3/4s of the group.

And its a good thing too. Thanks to their watchful eye and constant vigil, when the world thinks of well mannered, intelligent and safe people, they think of English football fans and when they think of well mannered and respectable youths, they think of those god damned chavs.

Your not to wrong there Mhurron, we are become a state where Health and Safety reins over anything else, kids are wrapped up in cotton woola nd start to play up because they can't be tought propper dicipline as parents are afraid they get arrested and I'm not talking about physical disipline, there have been a few cases where kids have made acusations about other things when a parent has confiscated a electrical item from tehm as punishment and unfortunately one guy is in prison and on appeal after an acusation jsut because he confiscated his 13 year old daughters DS, the case is being rehurd due to inconsistancies in the daughters story, but the jury was biased and ignored them and commited him (becuase of what she accused him of doing) New evidence should proove him inocent, but the damage has already been done. There unfortuantely are getting more extreem cases like this.

suing culture makes health and safety rules tighten to prevent being sued for the smallest of things. kids get away with anything and are now out of control as people are afraid to teach them right from wrong as shown in the extreem case above and many others that have gone through the Uk legal system and its not just parents its affecting but teachers to.

we are the most watched state int eh world with the amoutn of CCTV cameras we have in towns and cities. Just in my commute I pass by 5 cameras.

To sort out teh chavs we need to have bootcamps or bring back national service to sort the little scrotes out, get tehm wearing camaflage instead of burberry caps and tracky bottoms. Last night in Lincoln (sunday night) driving through their was a group of kids aged 8-13 drinking vodka and 20/20 and smoking fags hurling abuse at an old man walking by, its sickening, or am I just becoming a Victor Meldrew?

Stats are a pet peeve of mine, they can be used to prove or disprove anything you want. Probably what they don't say is that they hit up a particularly gay and homosexual bar and asked 100 people what they thought about being in the army.

Gawd I feel old now since being gay to me still means lively/cheerful instead of being homosexual. But then I've always used some of the more archaic words or methods of speech.

But hey, at least I know that the Abominable Snowman does NOT mean the "happy" snowman, and if they are going to throw a hissy fit because I use 'therefore' in an english class, which is hardly an archaic word, well, let's just leave it at I didn't think much of those people.

No one has ever used a biased sample base to push their own agenda before therefore anyone who sees problems with the numbers must be a bigot against whatever cause you're pushing. No one has ever massaged data to fit what you want it to.

I can't remember how many times we used the phrase "That's so gay!" back when I was in highschool and what not. Which in our opinion only meant something that was stupid or rediculous, it didn't mean homosexual in any way shape or form. After I saw that Wanda Sykes commercial where she explains why you shouldn't say that "Something is gay" I felt bad, even though I haven't said that phrase in like 7 years.

Everything is changing now since there are more homosexuals on the planet, well not really more, but there are more coming out of the closet than there used to be since they have been acknowledged as being separate from everybody else (Ex. being able to marry). I guess in that same breath I can equate that to there being a more vast selection of religions now so around Christmas nobody says "Merry Christmas" anymore, they all say "Happy Holidays" instead. I didn't really understand the whole Holiday ordeal when they first announced it and I didn't like it at first, but now that I've grown older I understand.

My older brother has a second job as a bouncer at a club, and he told me that recently they had Rainbow Pride Night at the club. There was a woman walking around offering subscriptions to magazines and she asked my brother if he wanted one, so he took a look at the magazine and it was a homosexual porn mag. He immediately passed it back and said No thanks lol.

I just hope I didn't offend anybody. I have no problem with people being homosexual, and I seriously try to get along with just about anybody no matter what race, sex, or sexual preference.

In some cases, sure that's appropriate. Not this one. There is nothing to indicate that the question or those polled are biased.

Results are based on telephone interviews with 1,015 national adults, aged 18 and older, conducted May 7-10, 2009, and with 1,015 national adults, aged 18 and older, conducted Nov. 19-21, 2004. For results based on these total samples of national adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points.

Interviews are conducted with respondents on land-line telephones (for respondents with a land-line telephone) and cellular phones (for respondents who are cell-phone only).

In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls.

Maybe in reality it's %65 of people. Or even %60, if they're badly inaccurate! That's still a clear majority.

There's no reason to say "they probably got that number by going to a very gay bar and asking 100 people there" unless you're exaggerating your argument to the point of undermining it with sheer stupidity and ignorance, or you're incredibly homophobic. There's little reason not to believe that 69% of people do support allowing homosexuals to not have to repress themselves in order to be in the army, especially in a time where the army is hurting badly for recruit as it is.
