I'd scoot the character to the left of the frame so she's clearly looking at nothing rather than possibly something just out of frame. If you put it far enough over that also creates a space where there obviously should be text in the normal formula that you could leave profoundly blank. You could definitely use a better background. There's not really enough detail in the non-river part of the image to see what's going on. It's not too hard to find some high resolution stock photos of landscapes online.

Alternately, you could go with a shot actually on the bank of the river, turn the character away from the viewer and have her watching the water go by. It's an easy metaphor to get across and it has sortof an inherent mood.

While we are talking about things that "Really Grind my Gears!" I go to Burger King every morning for breakfast, grab a sausage croissant in the drive-thru, and finish my drive to work. If you are ordering for more than 2 normal sized people to eat breakfast, then you don't need to go through the drive-thru (or the Death Trap as I call it), you need to go inside. I mean seriously any other time I can get my food within 2 mins but today I had to wait almost 6 mins which almost made me late for work...

Gas Prices it was only 2.69 this morning but still...It'll be $3 pretty soon and probably $4 by the end of the summer.

$2.69? I take it thats a gallon, try living in teh Uk where when you convert to your currency we pay $6.29 a us gallon and its going up again next week, were poaying equivilent of $1.50 a litre!!!

I wasn't really complaining yet, because I know the UK and probably Canada have it much worse (Canada pays by Litre too I think.) I'm just preparing for the not-so-near future (hint: I said "only 2.69" lol expecially saying it was 1.99 about 2 months ago). I enjoy having extra cash in my pockets and last year summer gas put a $4.50/gallon cramp on my pockets OY! I'm glad adding a new gas pump improved my gas mileage. Two months ago I was getting 12.0MPG!!! Now I'm getting 17.8 which isn't too much better, but those extra 5.8 MPG are making a big difference.

what car do you drive?

I have a fiesta 1.25 zetec and it does 32mpg in towns and 42 in the country, the car I'm looking at getting (another fiesta) is 42mpg in town and 52mpg in the country for a 1.4l engine your cars in teh US drink tooooo much fuel and are sooooo poluting!!

I drive a 89 Buick Reatta. In its time, it was a Sports Car that was years ahead of its time. The funny thing is I've heard that people with the same car get around 20 in the city and around 30 Highway. I don't drive much on the expressway or open road, the most I get to go on highways is between 45-55. Unfortunately I haven't been able to upgrade to a better car yet. When the PT Cruiser gets fixed I'll be driving that during the summer and the reatta during the winter. The PT will get slightly better gas mileage than what I'm getting now, but not much better.

When I get a better job, I'd like to get a Toyota Prius /drool 47+MPG City and 50MPG Highway.

Yes we do.... Gas prices today...96.4/ltr....

Heard on the radio that gas prices are being gouged here in Canada because of something in States that restricts the prices there or something... could be wrong but even with the exchange rate we still pay a crapload more for gas here....

What is with all these Karma posters and trolls in the forum today? Why does nobody post in the real life pet peeves thread anymore lol?

I'm waiting for Sims 3 to come out so I can buy it. EA claims the LEAKED version isn't the final one and they are going to add some things via patch to it when it comes out, but I think it is pretty cool so far. It probably won't become epic until the expansions come out but it is good to know that much of the DLC content from Sims 2 will be able to be transferred over.
