Crap,

These last two weeks have been utter crap. I've been sick, multiple hard tests (90%+ scores on them though, woohoo!) a deposition, Dad away on a business trip last week so I've dealt with more stuff than usual, and now my Sister moving out of the house while being on not so very good terms with everyone.

My sister has this really weird thing going on where she will convince herself that when we say something that we mean something else, and that basically nothing is ever her fault, either someone else did it, she never does that, or her are the extenuating circumstances that led her to do it.

I'm sorry girl, I love you, you're my sister, but it is getting a bit old hearing how nothing is ever your fault. Or else that you're working on it, when you and I know full well that you have not touched something for over 2-3 months now. If you haven't touched it in over two months, don't tell me that you are working on it.

I'm just upset that this is going on right now. I'm not exactly upset that she will be moving out of the house, but I think it would be best. Mom's style of running a house and my sister's style don't exactly mesh. I'm more upset in the way that my sister is doing it. Frankly it feels like she just shafted us in the way she is handling this. Worse yet, she keeps going on about how she won't talk with us because "we've already talked, besides it's pointless"

No, it's not pointless, and no, we have not talked at all. And she's been going on about how "respectful" she's being to mom, and yet at the same time whenever mom tries to talk to her, she's turning her back, she works on other things that do not need doing, and in effect basically blowing mom off. How the heck is that respectful?

So sorry TGM, I've been a bit lax with your thread of funny, and my Drg guide, I should get on both of those and do something. But sadly nothing terribly funny going on over here and nothing terribly funny going on in class either, mostly talking about airplane accidents and why they happen which is never funny.

On a more positive note, we're getting some sunny weather over here these last few weekends, it might be time to pull out the bike and start cycling again. Hmm, which reminds me, I'll have to see if I can remember the route to take that goes by that lady's house, the one who likes to sunbathe topless in the front yard while weeding.

Just finished Prince of Persia (PoP4 if you want to call it that) and god did I love it.

Incredibly fluid game play even if its just more of whole jump run double jump wall jump pole slide wall climb etc etc etc... its the kind of "more-of-the-same" that I like.

Easy to learn and fun to play battle mechanics, very different and in the end its pretty easy to be awesome and dispatch a boss in a matter of seconds... but its so beautiful it really feels like you're playing more than just another platformer game, I absolutely loved all the fights.

The game has you run around the same places more than once only in a different kind of setting and with a different purpose, therefore it doesn't feel like you're really taking the same steps again. At first the challenge is to just get to the other end of an area and after that you're told to explore that area some more so you can progress later on, this is your choice though as you can revisit a place for that "exploration" at any time you want so its all in your hands really.

The makers say they were influenced by Ico and Shadow of The Colossus and you can definitely see where that influence went in this game, the connection with Elika is very reminiscent of the one we had with Yorda, it's all about her... you want her safety more than your own even if she's never really in that much danger... it just feels right to help her.

For me this is a little more than just a game in the end... its more like you're reading a book or being told a story with all the little details included.

A hardcore player who's looking for highscores and to dispatch hordes of enemies with special powers and all that stuff will find himself disappointed to find a game that's a lot more focused on telling the story and portraying the characters and their personalities.

Little bit of spoilers coming up... if you care.

The ending was a HUGE cliffhanger and its pretty obvious that a sequel is on the way. It was also a controversial ending that if you visit some forums related to the game you'll hear the whines and cries of internet trolls and grunts that are annoyed about it and fail to see the reasons behind what takes place at the end. I on the other hand (and some other enlightened folks) absolutely agree with what he did at the end and I'd do the same in a heartbeat... hell... it was ME who actually did it

Loved every second of it.

Hmm, sounds interesting. I've heard of a number of Prince of Persia games, which one and what platform (if it matters)

I ask 'cause I've been toying with the idea to get a PS3 or Xbox 360, and hearing about any good games for 'em is always of interest.

You've just described my daughter........on a good day. Take your sister and multiply her by 5 and then you'll have my daughter. Ya, its not pretty over here.

My daughter has the entire downstairs to herself. I live in my bedroom......have been for over a year now. So she has the living room (with all my electronics), dining room, mud room, huge bathroom, kitchen, foyer, and sunroom all to herself and her children. (The kids also have the game room turned into their bedroom upstairs.) All I ask is that she maintain the lower level. That means KEEP IT CLEAN.....as much as you can with a 3 yr old and 5 yr old. Well she doesn't and I'd pick up the slack until 2 months ago when I took a turn for the worse and couldn't. So the other day I decide to investigate my kitchen...................I thought I was going to throw up. I'd post pictures but I'd be too embarrassed. It's FILTHY. The flour and sugar canister were stuck so hard to the counter by filth that I had pry them off. I got the "ya I'm working on it" story from her when I brought it up. My ass.

DING DING DING, this is my Nicole. Except my girl rolls her eyes at me when I try to talk to her. Then she'll sit there and push papers around, look at the floor, talk to one of her kids, play with her shoe.....WHATEVER she can do but not look at me and have an adult conversation. Her style of taking care of the house and my grandkids are exactly OPPOSITE of what mine is. Now I know she's going to have her own ways but see the above filth in the kitchen comment......that is just wrong no matter who you are. Its the same for her kids too, she does a horrendous job with them and usually only accomplishes things if I get on her about it. I don't expect perfection and I don't expect her to do it exactly like I do but I DO expect her to maintain her childrens health, cleanliness, and general welfare and she does not.

This reminds me of that time I was checking info on a loan to build a house and pretty much made everyone around hate me when I got pissed because I (single, good income, no debts) was trying to plan my future in a responsable way but couldn't qualify for the loan (goverment one) because I wasn't in need.

But all the morons who didn't have money to pay, didn't plan their family and had 2 to 4 children (even though they knew they couldn't even support one) and screwed up their own lives did deserve to recieve the support. Right.

I don't know why, but it just reminded me of that. Also, I probably shouldn't have said that out loud and specially shouldn't have ended it up with:

The bank isn't your friend.

They want you to not pay your bills immediately, they want you to be indebted to them, I found this out when the bank suddenly increased my credit... I was maxed out for MONTHS... why would they give me more? they simply want me to stay with a nearly maxed credit so I pay more interest, they're smart but what they don't know is I've got me here a little pay check that's gonna clear my credit tomorrow morning... harharhar.

I love going for a ride on my bicycle on warm Sunday afternoons (the weather is finally warming up WOOT!).

Its when I take a chance to listen to some new albums while I pedal away in the countryside enjoying the view from the river on one side and the lush greenery on the other.

This time it was The Killers' new album "Day & Age" which I still hadn't fully heard until today.

I absolutely loved some of the tracks and went for a couple more laps just to repeat them...
