I've been in the ID program for over two years now, just decided to transfer, but wasn't sure how much of it would. All of them tranferring is better than I could have hoped for.

I'm soooooo stoked because I just met with the Interior Design Director at the Art Institute of Tampa, and all of my ID credits are going to transfer in. Sweet!

About Hancock; Critics didn't like it, but critics are usally pompous fools.

I enjoyed the movie, and I'm glad the way it ended. Oh, and the scene that plays like 3 minutes into the credits is funny also.

Kung Fu Panda was another great movie that was underappreciated by movie-critics.

Kid-movie or not, I enjoyed it, and the blatant usage of old KungFu Memes. It even had a lesson! This is SO a movie that's going into my kung-fu collection. There were some "bwa-what?" moments (Conversation between Panda and his master while Tigress overlooks) but if you like martial arts, you can't go wrong with this film.

Almost everyone I know who saw Wanted relates that it's awesome, and the handful of classmates who saw Wall-E enjoyed it as well.

This has been a great summer, and Dark Knight isn't even out yet!

I still stand by Hancock and Wall-E being ok. I would give them a C+. One of the ways I rate a movie is by my mind wandering or getting antsy. If I'm wondering what time it is, the movie isn't great. If I'm starting to think about my roast in the slow cooker, the movie isn't great. If I'm fidgeting in my seat and paying more attention to the popcorn, the movie isn't great. Then I rate it on the amount of times I've been distracted and if its a lot, the movies a stinker.

While watching Hancock, I was wondering what time it was. Didn't have anything planned afterward either, just wondering what time it was because I knew what time the movie started and that it was 92 minutes long. Thats not a good omen.

At Wall-E I spent more time thinking of how my grandkids would not have sat through the movie than anything. Then at some points I was thinking "ok ok get on with it" Especially at the one long scene where they are dancing in space....

I tried to watch a very crappy cam'd version of KungFu Panda but the quality was so bad that it hurt my brain. LOL But I am looking forward to that on DVD.

As for Wanted, Angelina Jolie! Only reason I want to see it, I don't even know what the damn movie is about! LOL But my luck has been C+ luck lately and I don't know if I should waste my time.....or money! For 2 people to get in, and then a large popcorn and 2 drinks, its $40 here! My son wants to go like once a week and thats $160 a month!

My boyfriend's brother, who is normally too cynical to like anything that's been within 20 yards of pop culture, spent an entire weekend trying to convince us to go see Kung Fu Panda with him because he enjoyed it so much the first time. I've heard enough good things about it now that I'm going to be very disappointed in all of you if it's not awesome.

hmmm do what I do buy a bottle of water in teh supermarket, put it in one coat pocket. Buy a bag of popcorn from the supermarket (both are a 6th of teh price of teh rip off cinema sells them for) put it in teh other pocket. Buy tickets, bypass the sweet and drink stalls sit down, take bottle out of pocket, popcorn out of pocket and enjoy the film, they are not allowed to force you to empty your pockets as its an invasion of privacy and as long as you don't look like michelin man with pockets bulging (which is why i always wear my oversize coat when i go to the cinema) then its hardly noticable.

Drink at cinema = £1.80 - bottle of water from supermarket = £0.45

250g popcorn cinema = £2 - 250g sunkist popcorn from supermarket = £0.75. (sunkist tastes better than cinema popcorn I think )

Go figure why i do this.

To be honest most times I just take a drink in, i don't need the sweets, we make sure we eat a good dinner before hand (and normally go to an all you can eat chineese buffet for £5 a head, stuff your face there, then you don't feel hungry in the cinema after, and as we make a night out of a cinema visit i.e. meal, cinema, drinks after, t doesn;t cost us anymore in reality.

I have heard about all the food on offer at US cinemas and couldn't resist posting this rant by Billy Connolly. (no offense intended!)

LOL @ Connolly I've been watching him after you've suggested it Jarre. ^^ Thank you!

It's funny at our theatre, we don't have a lot of food. Soda, Icee, popcorn, and boxed candy but thats it. Oh wait I think they recently started serving bottled water.

I would bring "stuff" with me but first off its hot as hell summer so no coat means no pockets. I don't carry big purses because of my back. I remember one winter though going in I looked like I was 9 months pregnant. LOL Must have left the baby in the theatre on the way out.

I rarely buy anything when I go to the movies, occasionally a Coke, and sometimes a box of Sour Patch Kids, but thats about it. I remember there was a movie theater in Virginia Beach where they were cool with you taking in whatever food you wanted. Could go get take-out from Chili's and use the desk type things attached to the seats to eat a real meal while you watched the movie.
EDIT: Didn't Conolly play the teacher in "Head of the Class"?

I went to a baseball game over the weekend. First one since I was 8. It was fun! But I wasn't allowed to have Nachos. I mean, I could have bought some, but I didn't actually want them that badly. I did have beer. But at seven dollars a bottle I opted to stop at 4.

Yes he did 22 episodes between 1990-1992 before staring in his own sitcom in the us "Billy"

Hes made guest apearences in many tv shows i.e. 3rd rock from the sun, Deacon Brodie, Minder, supergran, Bullshot,[COLOR=Black] Worzel gummidge, Down among the big boys, Pearl, Veronicas closset etc.

Although he does swear alot which doesn't phase me, he does come out with some very funny observational comedy, one of his funniest scenes is the wilderbeast.
