I am one of those people who nearly puts my foot through the passengers floor well braking for the person driving

On a side note, this reminds me of one of the driver's ed instructors. He was just completely random on that emergency pedal.

*begins to turn a corner*
*car jerks horribly*
Me: What the?
Instructor: You were going way too fast around the corner!
Me: Maybe, but...
Instructor: Did you see how the car jerked?
Me: Yes, you hit the...
Instructor: That's what happens when you go too fast.

(I might've been faster than they recommend, but the car was still well under my control. Until of course he slammed on the brake)

Instructor: ...you missed that stop sign.
Me: Huh? What stop sign?
Instructor: About three blocks back.

(I went back by that sign later, it was very fucking well hidden)



I can definitely sympathize with you, though; the way other people drive bugs the crap out of me sometimes, although I've learned to accept almost everything but the extremely fast and reckless. The entire problem of being out of control is one of the main reasons I hate roller coasters, with the exception of simulators (because of that magic stop button)

So true, you must know alot about our "white Van maniacs" or do you drive one? add boy racers and motorcyclists and you make up 80% of the fatal accidents I attended. One thing all had in common though, they all were and are well known for speeding.

My dad raised me like a boy. His best friend was lead on the pit team for a racer and whenever they did races in town we'd get to go mess around. I had grown up with dirt bikes, snowmobiles, driving my drunk father home, etc. so I was very capable of driving at a young age. His buddy would let me drive the cars around the track for various testing and stuff. His nephew would come along sometimes and we'd get to race. If anyones watched or been to the Milwaukee Mile, that's the track. Some of the few good memories from childhood.

So I consider myself a very good driver but not too cocky. I used to have a 94 Pontiac Formula Firebird. That car was like an extension of my body. But there's always a downside. LOL My kids still tell people the story about how right after I got it I went to get on the expressway and by the time I made it to the bottom of the ramp my son was screaming from the back seat "MOM MOM HOLY COW MOM! You're going over 100 SLOW DOWN!"

I told the wife that I bought a shirt with the Union Jack on it and the slogan 'Americans are Traitors" for the 4th of July fireworks with her parents.

Your above comment is very reckless, just because someone is speeding doesn't mean you have the right to do so thats how accidents happen, when they make a mistake, hit something and you are going to fast to stop safely yourself and bang! Thats exactly how the 115 car pile up on the M42, it was slightly wet but very good visibility, a lorry was on fire in the hard shoulder and police closed off one lane, a car driver speeding couldn't break in time seeing the police car to late and smashed into it, other traffic behind that was also doing 80+mph piled into it, resulting in the worst accident in the Uk's history. 13 people died in that accident. It took 4 days before the motorway was full cleared of wreckage and the carridgeway resurfaced.

I'm sorry if you think speed is great, but there are limits for a reason and the gun hoe attitude of well hes doing it so why can't I is absolutly childish.

And this is how easy it is to have an accident when speeding. thankfully in this case there were only minor injuries and no fatalities, but it could have been much worse. This one involved 35 vehicles.

No, you already had the right, now you have a REASON. Going slower than traffic is dangerous, even if you're over the speed limit.

Guess what, he wasn't going to be paying attention at any speed.

Also no one, and I mean that, there isn't a single person in the UK that can drive. It's just by the grace of God anyone gets anywhere in once piece over there.
