I'd rather do it at work. I'm very frugal when it comes to things in school.. I save water and electricity wherever I can. I don't want to contribute to the rise in tuition.

But then again, I guess that, arguably, my job is based on the school's overall budget..

While the above statement is made of win, I found nifty ways to take advantage of work-

-I print out the guides from GameFAQs using work paper/toner
-I use the bathroom at work to save money on toilet paper in my apartment
-I catch up on Obama news so that I can actually do HW when I get home
-I highly take advantage of the free coffee
-I get a couple of cups of dry cereal from the student-cafe and use office milk (deliveries every monday!)

Then there are times I actually Do work. I just use my MP3 player for that.

This job is OK. Not as good as my last summer job ($15/hr and I spent the majority of my time on Facebook and Blogger ; ; ), but I'm getting free school housing, free meal plan and a free course.

Yes the joys of work and takign advantage of it.

Printing, plan copying (for my own house extension) as well as the software to design it on. Along with infinate cups of tea, internet access and the use of the phone for those anoying calls i.e. insurance, bank, doctors etc. which all cost money from mobiles as well as posting things for free through the mail room.

I used to do that guide printing when I worked too....till I got caught. They were monitoring each computers volume of printing and mine was more than all of the others put together. LOLOLOLOL

As far as the toilet paper, I got friendly with the janitorial staff after many long hours and they used to slip me TP and cleaning supplies occasionally. Of course, this was looong ago when money was tight and my kids were still little. Nowadays my butt couldn't handle that scratchy TP. LOL

I would seriously never steal toilet paper. That stuff isn't exactly quality.

I don't print much out these days. Unless absolutely necessary. Why waste paper and toner? Free coffee is nice tho.

When I was in the Army, there was a little known secret that even past BCT, toilet paper was free. So I would always get the free issue TP. Hell, why not?

Funny story, when I was in AIT (second phase of training, which directly follows BCT), us Privates were constantly getting 'smoked' (basically told to do pushups) for pretty much anything. As a motivator, when we were told to drop, we'd yell, "PT is free! Hoooah!" and continue on in our pushups. (PT = Physical Training, btw)

So one night I went to the CQ desk to request my allotment of toilet paper. I was indeed told I'd have to "push" for it, and as per usual, I dropped, started pushing, and yelled, "PT is free! Hoooah!" I was shortly told to recover and follow the DS to the supply closet where I got my free rolls of toilet paper. I walked back through the CQ area where two privates were on duty (they always had the DS, and 2 soldiers on duty in case people had to leave, never leave your post and all that) so as I walked back through, I looked at the two on duty and said with a 100% straight face, "TP is free! Hoooah!" Should have seen them crack up, it was priceless. I think I even got some more free PT out of it. XD

By it's very nature, it is not.

So, I went to buy some delicious strawberry sorbet, but they stopped carrying it in Ohio. They still have it in Kentucky, but that means spending time in Kentucky, even if it's only five minutes. I bought lemon sorbet instead, and a pint of coconut chocolate chip. But I still want strawberry.

I know that. That is just one of those common grammatical mistakes I make all the time for some reason. I know the difference, but if I don't stop and think about it, I generally do it wrong.

Sorbet > Sherbet. I mean, Sherbet has a place in the grand scheme of things and all, but on a hot summer day it's not what I want.

Sorbet = Sherbet, last time I checked. I mean, minor differences in the processes that make them, but still essentially the same end result.
