MacBooks are very easy to upgrade RAM and HDD, which in this case is what I had to replace.

The MacBook Pro's on the other hand ...

My G4 Powerpc here at work is so easy to change bits in, I've evne had an Imac open (one with teh round base) boy do they pack it in their, had to change a hardrive, getting to it is a fecking pain!!

I like the powerpctowers, but when we upgrade its going to be the silver flat screen Imacs, my toolkit unfortunately will have to be put away then.

On a serious note, I'd much rather have an Intel Mac. Even if they aren't upgradeable, x86 is easier to deal with than PPC.

/agree with Murphie. Community college is a great way to go. 2 good years of helpful teachers and such. Raise your GPA and then you can finish up at a university. And I belive Mhurron is right about the CS degree. I'm sure I know less about it than anyone else here, but the ads for game design always seemed pretty gimicky.
Hell, couldn't hurt to call some game companies (smaller ones would be more likely to talk to you) and see what sort of things they look for on an applicant's resume'.

My GPA is terrible.

But I have a decent amount of experience as opposed to my peers, and I have the benefit of having contacts via my fraternity who are EAGER to help out a young engineer. :-D

You could say I'm a slacker, but oh well.

I'm glad I left New York to go to school. It's been rough but it was the best decision. :-/

Oi, just gotten home x.x; got up at noon, left a half hour later, got to DeVry at 1pmish, had to wait til 4 to meet with my academic advisor. There's a slim chance I can convince my program of studies dean to deny the dismissial. I meet him on monday to actually talk and convince. But my reasoning and all that, I'm not feeling particually confident in. Mostly because, I just don't see myself doing ways to improve that would convince in not dissmissing me.

My academic advisor noticed through my grades I pick and choose my effort and how I procrasticnate. And she was shocked/pissed as she told me that I was serious when I choose not to take a second chance on a math test that got me 45%, even though I passed that course with a C. Thing is, if I don't get motivated by the enviroment or instructor, I can't take a serious effort on my work. Thats when I'm more likely to procrasticnate.

So now to think of a good reason, while being honest, saying something I can believe I'll do, not to BS and keep true to it. What a drag, I'm soo not gonna make it, my gut instics tell me I'm gonna end up saying something that wouldn't be true to my character while at the same time its not gonna be a BS statement x.X

I hate it when people peg me out through my grades correctly. Makes it harder to do everything and less tolerable.

Motivation = spending your own money to stay in school. That's all the motivation you need.
