For the last 3 months we've been training on our new system that we're changing to on Saturday. We've learned how to use the program to do all of our normal daily tasks, and it has been an absolute bitch to figure out since it's totally different than our current system, in every way from layout to work flow.

Friday I noticed something funny, and pointed out to the big-wigs, and it turns out the new system that we go live on in 4 days cannot be used to do any of our work the way it is now, major problems, the sky is falling, etc, etc. They're adamant at not backing up the go-live date any further, but as of now they have no idea how to fix the issues that we found. This is going to be an interesting week.

Reminds me of the hospital I used to work at. We changed computer systems and got an hour long course on what to do, then they threw it online and were surprised when everything went to hell in a handbasket.
Still have some friends that work there, apparently the whole damn hospital is changing to a totally new and different system in a couple months. A few thousand employees with minimum training, all one day, and most of them are already incompetent. Bad things are going to happen. And this is a hospital we're talking about, so when things go totally FUBAR people actually do die.
