        God damn Imageshack broke my sig for some reason ... I woke up this morning and the image just doesn't work. It's not been deleted it just ... doesn't work. Problem is it's not saved on this machine. I have to boot up my PC to get the image off it and copy to this one. (I mean come on, I really don't feel like making a new one, would you?)

            Yes ... well no matter, I rehosted it. It refuses to show up on every website I use it on. Maybe it's just my connection but if it's not working for me, it might not be working for others.

            I did manage to get on my PC for a little while and copy some videos of my kids for watching later, that should make me happy cry.

                Love my new desktop. Very easy to setup, but looks very sharp now. Very simple and elegant-- I wish I could show you my login screen, it looks great too. Unified color theme, everything after the boot screen is themed in #8AB0DA (a number which will haunt me. making stupid mistakes and redoing config files = annoying); and I'm thinking about changing the usplash screen to match too. The desktop is actually three layers-- a solid background, a transparent svg displayed over it (taken from aaron.michael.waite | creative.media.design | ubuntu artwork ), and a transparent terminal over those. Having a terminal as my desktop is actually more useful and cool than it looks.

                Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it, for the minimal amount of effort it took to setup the basic theme (the console was more frustrating, eventually I gave up on more complicated methods and did something much easier, but it still looks great), and how quickly I'll be able to replicate it on another machine.
