Maniac Mansion rocked. One of the first games I remember with multiple endings.
My two favorites were making the rock famous and putting the hamster in the microwave so the kid comes downstairs and pummels you.

I personally like the Mythbusters. In fact, I was kind of taken aback by Raydeus's apparent vendetta against them.

Who else here thinks that the 8-Bit era gets too much attention, and feels the 16-bit era was where it was at? (Though, I'm biased, as my first system was a SNES, but, still . . . I miss Super Mario Kart . . .)

Whoa there, tiger. Lumping in together people who find Mythbusters entertaining with 'reality show' viewers isn't exactly fair, lol. I may have killed some brain cells in my days but I'm not completely fucking retarded.

I would repeat what I said earlier about how all reality shows are not created equal, but it seems like a waste of keystrokes.

So you have a double standard. You're saying that it's possible to write English without an English degree, but not do Science without some Scientific degree.

Really, Mhurron, you might have a point if they were trying to teach science, but they aren't. They're out to prove/disprove some myths, and be entertaining on the way. Anyone capable of thought can apply the scientific method to test things. They just happen to have the means and know-how to set up said tests.

No they don't, which is why it bugs me that kind of show is in TDC rather than MTV or Cartoon Network.

My peeve isn't about the show itself, (I would just laugh and move on if it was in another network) but about how dumb it is for TDC's (past) standards and how that, among other recent useless shows take valuable air time from many other shows that would be more appropiate for TDC's quality. Even reruns of many great shows would be so much better.

Of course, I understand this dumbified thing is the new TDC, which is why I don't watch it anymore.

No, I'm saying that it is not possible to write a meaningful book about English, it's usage or its misusage without an English degree just as it is not possible to have a Science show that is supposedly using science to prove or disprove 'myths' without people who are qualified to do so.

Presumably you, along with everyone else in the English speaking world and many other parts of the world, were taught how to use English to communicate. Technically this would make those people, even you, qualified to communicate (read, speak and write) in English.

Myth Busters is as much a science show as Futurama is.

Mhurron: The looking at myths part is first, not science. They just look at them in a scientific manner. If you honestly think you need special training to do that, I feel sorry for you. I've been taught the scientific method since at least fourth grade, and it's not that difficult. Hopefully one of these days you'll learn how to do something that most middle schoolers in America can do.
