Well, to start, he's a Libertarian (don't let the R fool you). But also, it's all the crazy that makes me think that.

There was a huge discussion thread about it (actually, two) over at the Penny Arcade forums. I'm not really up for rehashing the whole thing here, so I'll just point you towards these links.

Well damn. I guess since there's threads on other forums about politics, I won't get into here.

But, I will say that the posts in those two threads didn't dissuade my thoughts on Ron Paul a bit, however. I think that alot of people disregard his major propositions as absurd because of how major his proposed changes are, but to me it all makes perfect sense. Also, Paul strikes me as the most honest and committed to America than any of the other Primaries. To me, he seems genuine and not corrupt; never accepting any money for campaigning except donations from American citizens. If anything (even if he doesn't win elections), I hope that what he stands for and believes in will help Americans come to realize the importance of the Constitution even today and also the real roles of the Federal Government and politics, among other things, which he has already made a large impact on alot of unbenounced Americans.

All politician are the same. Government exists to maintain the status quo, not to change things and every politician that moves to higher levels of government knows that is what makes them money.

Part of his political objectives are to abolish the Federal Reserve bank and reduce the power of the Federal Government. In fact, Ron Paul donates a certain percentage of his budget back to the U.S. Treasury every year. Take a look at this. What's corrupt about that? I'm well aware of political corruption and that's exactly why I'm voting for him - like I said earlier. If he was in it for the money, I'd say he's going about it all wrong. Wouldn't you agree?

You'll be really surprised of how good polititians are at twisting seemingly great ideas into something profitable for them.

Parties and others would never allow someone who is going to affect their economic interests into the goverment, and when someone tries to go too far they get shot by some crazy lunatic acting all alone to get past even the safest security net.

Damn, I forgot my tin foil hat in my other biohazard suit. >.< Any Smithing crafters here?
