        Richard Feynman didn't speak a word until he was three. My speech delayed child has such ridiculous kinesthesis and procedural understanding that at two before he had spoken he could climb well enough to touch the ceiling and operate the DVD player. People are different.

          I'm not very worried about him not being able to live normally or anything like that, I'm actually just really glad that they are so confident they can help him. He's a smart smart smart smart kid, just doesn't communicate or even indicate that he wants to, so they're going to help him.

            Well obviously, Aksannyi, it's completely possible that he's above verbal communication. (honest, no WM3k sarcasm.)

            Don't be surprised if he's a total sweetheart at the age of 7, but his cynicism leaves you dumbfounded for the next 5 days until you figure it out and you want to throttle him.

              Heh, I actually managed to figure out how to program a VCR when I was 11 months old somehow.


              Which annoys me to no end, because when I ACTUALLY COULD'VE BEEN ABLE TO USE THAT SKILL I had no clue how the hell to do it anymore.

              And look at what a benefit to society you are.
              Compared to the people on this forum who are busy curing cancer, yeah.
