Seriously though, Murphie has a point. I have several friends who can not find a job to save their lives, each with varying levels of degrees and certifications. Not saying don't look for something better, but make sure you've got a bird in your hand before tossing the shitty bird you have back in the bush.

I'm not like gonna go out and try to get fired or just quit. As much as I want to when Bitchy McFatass goes on one of her rants. I just really feel like I was a bit duped after I was told I'd be working four ten hour days - which I verified several times and even said to my interviewer that it was the only reason I was okay with taking a job so far away - and now that it's out the window, this job has become less than worth it.

After I spend the gas just getting there, which bill will I have to cut out of my monthly payment plan? That's what I'm looking at now. And with the truck acting as it has been and which is basically a ticking time bomb, it's only a matter of time before I break down in the middle of one of the bridges spanning the bay, stranded several miles from anything. I have always been apprehensive about driving my truck this far, now that I have to do it an extra day, I'm even more so. Every day I pray that it won't be the day my truck just quits. If I were working over here, I might be able to ride my bike to work. But 24.3 miles? That's a long fucking bike ride, and I don't think there are any bridges that we are legally allowed to bike across, so I'd be shit out of luck anyway, unless I want to ride around the bay, which would be like a 50 mile bike ride.

You can see where this is starting to get a bit scary.

Maybe I have to find a roommate again. :/

Harass them for the hours you were promised all the same. It'll be better if you can at least have that going for you as you search for another job.

I'm more worried that if I try to make a big deal about it, they'll figure I'm not worth the hassle and fire me anyway.

Which, I guess if that happens, I may as well start packing up my shit and putting it in a storage unit so I can move back into my truck. So yeah, I'll ask. Once. But if they say no, I'll have to deal with it until I can find something else.
