No, actually I considered just killing myself here and saving myself the trouble and my family the expense, but decided I'm moving on to other things for now. Will try to make it back to Japan later.

Well, that Teavana place finally opened and WOW, there's one place you don't want a toddler set loose in. There would be broken china, demolished tea sets and overturned Buddas and containers everywhere.

They have an interesting variety of tea, though its the white teas that are more expensive than the green or black teas because they're supposedly more rare. I tried something called Youthberry and a Samurai Chai Mate, both were good but the samurai mate had a real big kick. Bit of a cinnamon overload on that one.

Settled on one they called Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate, which has a light taste to it, but is pretty good. Of course, they wanted to charge me tons for tea bags to put the stuff in. I just took out some coffee strainers and tied the top shut. I might just get a strainer cup there later.

I do have to say that my normal vice - earl grey - is a lot cheaper there, but I thought I'd take a break from English teas and try some of the Asian ones they had for a bit.

Mate is South-American, if I remember correctly. Traditionally collected from the rain forests. It tastes like grass when plain, but doesn't taste bad.

Well, last night was interesting ...

For people who don't really care

Went out with a mutual friend of mine and the guy who I've been hung up on for so long. We get together every month or so to drink heavily and act stupid. It's a great stress reliever as usually it costs me nothing and my guy never wants to do anything anymore.

News came last Friday while I was at lunch with both of these guys that my guy was finally divorced. He hadn't told me, which kind of irked me a bit, but I figured he just didn't want me to get it in my head that he was now free and fair game or something, which I can see because I knew that he wasn't in any sort of frame of mind for a relationship so soon after his marriage ended so badly.

I send him a text on Monday asking him to come look at my tire because it's somewhat crooked, and he says the tie rod is bent, and I'll have to get that fixed. The tire was really worn, too, so he changed that out for me. He'd been out of town the whole weekend, to Macon, where he seems to go a lot lately. So I asked, jokingly, "What's in Macon? Some other woman?" He laughed it off but didn't really answer the question. I was starting to wonder, though, based on a few other things.

So the next morning, I text him, "Hey, you never answered my question. Is there another woman?" (or something similar, it was fairly the same tone though). He said something evasive again, like "There's a woman if I want one" (again, paraphrasing). So I asked him what the fuck does that mean. He finally said, "If I decide to be with a woman, I will let everyone know about it." I believed him, because he'd always been honest with me.

Fast forward to last night. I'm having a good time getting sloshed off my ass and generally not caring that my Pens are losing and Mutual Friend Guy (MFG) tells me that my guy has some girlfriend in Tennessee and that they meet up in Macon every so often.

Shut. Down. Everything.

I was pissed. And beyond hurt, to say the least. MFG told me that this has been going on a long time, and that he didn't know I didn't know or wasn't supposed to know. Well here's the thing. MFG didn't know he and I had a relationship at all. We kept it a secret because we wanted to keep our jobs. And it had come to an end before I stopped working there so it wasn't ever at a point where we could be open about it. People suspected, but we denied, and without proof there was nothing anyone could say or do. So MFG was blown away by this. We used to go out to lunch every Friday and he said he thought we were just flirting - which is something the both of us do, with everybody - and that he didn't know it had gone as far as it had.

I told him everything. How my guy had said from the beginning that it wasn't going to be a "forever thing" but how he kept blurring the fucking lines between fuck buddy and boyfriend by taking me out on regular dates, spending time with me without having sex, and treating me like a woman should be treated. He agreed that it was a lot more than a fuck buddy relationship if we were going on regular dates. I told MFG how when my guy came back from his vacation in September he cut it off because he "needed to concentrate on his divorce" so I gave him the space he needed and dealt with missing him on my own. My guy told me not to wait on him, but it was too late as far as I was concerned. I loved him, and I wasn't actively trying to wait on him, but I wasn't trying to not wait on him either. The way he said things when we broke it off was that we'd maybe pick back up where we left off when his divorce was final. Enough for me to be hopeful that maybe we would.

So find out last night all this shit, and it all makes sense to me now. Little things that didn't seem like anything seemed like a huge fucking deal the more I thought about things last night. I cried on MFG's shoulder and told him how much I'd loved my guy, and I sent him some angry drunk texts (yes, bad idea) about how I was really upset with him not being honest with me and how I didn't want him to contact me again. MFG was kind of pissed at both of us for not telling him about our thing, but then he kind of understood because MFG was in kinda good with the boss and one or both of us would have lost our jobs because MFG isn't the greatest at keeping secrets.

So we leave the bar, and I'm still pretty upset, I'm kind of leaning on MFG's shoulder in the backseat of his brother's girlfriend's car and just using the free hug he was offering. We got back to his brother's apartment, which is in the same complex where I live, and we drank a little more, listened to some music and bullshitted around. I kept on saying things about my guy and how I should have fucking known, how stupid I was to fall in love with him in the first place, and how much of an idiot I must seem to him. And MFG's all like, "man, fuck him. He's my friend and he didn't tell me any of this shit, and to top it off he let me be the one to tell you the truth instead of manning the fuck up and doing it himself." At this point, the alcohol is getting him a little grabby-grabby but I just flat out don't fucking care anymore. I'm still pretty damn upset about everything at that point.

So a few hours later, I decide I want to go back to my apartment to sleep it off and probably cry into my pillow and wish I were dead and stare at my gun for forty-five minutes. MFG offered to help me home, though, because I was still very buzzed and it was like 4AM at that point. So we get up to my apartment and he's like, "Fuck it, I'm crashing here." I knew where it was going and I didn't stop it, he got in the bed with me, we talked for a while and then, naturally, I ended up having drunken rebound sex with my friend. Which honestly, whatever, it didn't mean anything at all and it was good to feel like someone actually wanted me. (Protip: don't go down that road, it leads nowhere most of the time. Although if you do, you'll at least meet up with me, but that's not something all that amazingly special.)

So we sleep together, and I don't think it's going anywhere, I mean I'm sleeping with one guy while thinking about another - that also does not really end well - and I never thought of MFG as someone I'd ever sleep with, honestly. Great friend, but just, you know, in the friend zone. I'm not sure what's going to happen with that, but he left with what I think is minimal awkwardness and I got in the shower.

Got out of the shower and texted "my"guy saying that we need to talk. I still have stuff of mine at his place from the yard sale in October, because we'd planned to maybe have another this spring. Well, I told him to bring that by along with my apartment key.

He said he will be over tomorrow afternoon.

I'm honestly not sure if I want to still have him as a friend. I'm so pissed off about the fact that he lied to me all this time - all this time when I could have gotten over him or something, walked away clean knowing there was no chance we'd ever get back with each other or that we'd ever make anything out of the relationship we had but he didn't want to believe we had. All this time. September to April, that's seven fucking months of me hoping and wishing that maybe we'd get together again. Seven. Fucking. Months. And this whole time he's been with another woman. If he was worried about hurting me, he really fucked that up, because guess what? It would have hurt a lot fucking less if you'd told me the truth seven fucking months ago so I could fucking try to move on instead of continue to cling to some apparently foolish notion that you would ever want to come back to me and let me try to make you happy. Yeah, he said, "Don't wait for me." Yeah, he said I should try to go out, meet other people, and move on. But that is easier said than done. If he'd just told me the truth from the day he ended it and not led me to believe there was some hope for a relationship between us after his divorce, I'd probably be over him by now.

So I probably lost my best friend now, since I'm so angry with "my" guy who was also my closest friend now that I can't even think about talking to him - and the thought of him being with another woman makes me want to vomit - all those moments we shared he is now sharing with someone else and it is killing me - and there's a good chance that MFG and I are going to be weird now, though I guess that will be an easier one to work out. I've slept with friends before. I just hope he isn't looking for anything more than that, because I can't give it. It's bad enough that I was biting my lip to keep from screaming out a different name, cliched as that is, I was hardly in the moment at all. He probably knows that, though, and used my vulnerability to get in my pants, which I guess is fine because I can't say any other guy wouldn't have done the same thing and I just flat out don't fucking care anymore.

I guess I'll post more on this shit when I talk to "my" guy tomorrow.
