I worked for three hours today. It was not very challenging. Off until the 3rd.

All christmas shopping is done. Tomorrow I am meeting the family of the guy I'm seeing. I'm nervous. Also, I haven't eaten in days. So I had a handful of almonds when I got home from work. All full now.

So basically since none of the supervisors are here today and it's Christmas Eve and it's an early day, the person in our group who has been here the longest arbitrarily decided that we're not doing shit today (even though there is some work) and that we'll put it away until Tuesday. Works for me.

I don't celebrate Christmas.

Not because of any religious thing or whatnot, it's just because there's no one here with whom I would celebrate. So I just treat it like any other day, and if it happens to fall on a weekday, I even get a day off. I considered going to church, but ... nah.

My expectations of "Happy" holidays don't ever fail me once I get past the point where I can hope to celebrate them. I just have to keep in mind that if I need/want to go shopping tomorrow, I will be unable to. For the most part, though, I'm pretty sure I'll be content to stay in and grind my Priest to 85.

Meh, you finally get the White Christmas you always dreamed of and now the family doesn't want to drive to have dinner with the extended family

Seriously, we have here is a light dusting, nary an inch of snow yet and you'd think there was three feet of it in my parent's driveway. They live in a town that salts the roads well in advance so they can drive; the city I live in can't even afford to do that, so we have to deal with whatever is there. I can deal with this, even though I drive a Cougar.

The key to getting through this is to just drive like a sane person. Of course, that's all nice in theory, its the other drivers you have to worry about. I've seen people bolt down the streets when there's been zero visibility in the past, but it does turn out when the snow is about two feet high that people do start taking the situation seriously

I was so looking forward to another southern home-cooked meal. I did get one last night since the immediate family did Christmas last night. Well, if my family's not going, I'm driving over to thier for leftovers, because the snow is sooooooo scary >.>;

Well its 22:15pm here in a white wonderland of the Uk (yes it even snowed for 5 mintues so we have a white christmas) and hasn't budged above minus 4 centigrade since 2 weeks ago.

Christmas was me turning up to my parents at around 11am having duck for crimbo dinner after doing the obligitory hand presents around malarky. Then spent 4 hours with my father setting up his brand new samsung 3D LCD tv and blue ray player and getting the old brick upstairs into the room my niece and nephew will be staying in tomorrow and monday when they come over.

Not got much this year, but Jimmy Carr dvd, billy connolly DVD, whos line is it anyway DVD and £40 cash.

I'll have to set something up on my iPad. I couldn't stand my Droid phones anymore so I'm going back to the iPhone. But now I'm waiting to see if anyone but AT&T is going to get them, so I'm phoneless at the moment. You don't know how much you rely on them until you don't have one!

Still recovering from Christmas, I slept for THIRTEEN HOURS last night until today. When I rolled over and looked at the clock, I nearly had a heart attack! lol Hubby said he kept looking in on me because he thought I was dead....in his dreams! lol

My son asked me what Santa brought me for Christmas. I felt bad when I said, "Nothing," but I didn't want to lie to him. :/ I wish Santa would have brought me my kids. XD

I got my Christmas gifts early this year. When the Grandsons came over to open Santas gifts and asked me what I got, I said that Santa put a big box under the tree and when I opened it, it was filled with so much love from my boys that I was soooooo happy. My eldest said "That would have to be a pretty big box Gramma because I love you so much!" lol Try that next time because children are very sensitive and hearing something so sad is bound to effect them negatively.
