Move to canada, where I was on employment insurance for 10 months. It was the greatest time of my life.

I think one can find examples of extreme "self enrichment through government entitlements" in just about any part of the world. Although Europeans can do it without as much social stigma compared to Americans.

I don't even really like taking money that I haven't earned, really. There are way too many people in this country who have that sense of entitlement, pulling as much out of the government as they can and feeling like they deserve every penny of it for doing jackshit. It pisses me off, because here I am (was) working my ass off, actually contributing to society but still struggling and even when I was working, I made too much to be eligible for government assistance.

And even now, unemployment wants to fuck me because in 20 hours I apparently made more than their cutoff. No one can live off of $184 a week. No one in this state, anyway. It's a sham. Meanwhile, I'm sure Shaniqua down the block and her seven kids are enjoying that fat welfare check while she goes out and gets her hair and nails did. -.-

And people wonder why I'm so bitter ...

Same here, but there are a whole lot of people who do not believe that's the case. They think the government should just give them money for being them.

There are also people who believe government shouldn't provide that service and also believe that we shouldn't pay taxes in the first place to set up that kind of service. They're the same people who do not have an answer to the question: "So, if I get laid off, who do I turn to for help?"

I believe a congratulations is in order and best wishes for continued success. I just wished my wife would take some responsibility over her own body in the same way. I once replied to her about potential health issues down the road to which she replied, "So? I don't care if I died young." It doesn't even bother her to leave me a widow with 2 girls to raise by myself.

I don't mind people that actually take a reasonable amount of time, like a vacation of sorts but after that they actively look for a job. Thats normal. But TWO YEARS and only put in one application a month for proof that you are actively looking? (And the apps she put in were for jobs there was no way in hell she could get. See rant below..)

And TGM, thats just wrong on so many levels.

Ya tell me about it. And when she does find jobs, she falls into these awesome f'in jobs. One job she had was running for shit for the boss. He wants McD's and she gets it. He needs cigarettes and she gets them. Other than running she could take long breaks...where she could go HOME AND SLEEP. He'd just call her cell and then she'd have to do whatever. AND she made $10+ an hour. Then she got in at the factory where my husband worked. They make rocket guidance systems and shit so again....good pay. And she was housekeeping but didn't do much. My sister had the unfortunate experience of working with her and told me how she would sleep 1/2 the shift (it was 3rd) and the other half she barely did any work at all. After that job ended (factory closed), she was on unemployment for just over TWO YEARS. Perfectly healthy and able to work but sponged off her mother. (She's 40 and has never moved out. Hell I don't think she's ever had sex from some of the conversations I've had with her.) Now she just got a job and started this week. She cleans out and stocks private jets. Again, she's also an errand runner and if she's done stocking/cleaning/running errands, she sleeps on these jets. This company she works for had her run to the bank with a $565,000 deposit the other day. (She has a gambling problem. She forged checks and bilked her mother out of tens of thousands of dollars so we are a bit taken aback when we found this out.) AND big stars use this company so now she's getting lots of shit autographed and making big bucks on Ebay selling the shit.....

Honest to f**king god what did I do so wrong in my life to have such bad karma when someone like her has all this good karma? (Trust me she's done some screwed up shit in her life..)

Maybe the problem is that you believe in a fucking god instead of a regular one.

Anyway, I mentioned I'd tell you guys about my weekend.

One: Bought flowers! Feba is officially in love
Two: Got an answer!
Three: Not totally sure what the hell the answer was. Probably not terrible!
Four: At least ten girls called me cute. And one guy. Ok!
Five: Climbed a third of a way up a mountain, but it's ok, because there's a god of happiness to pray to!
Six: Climbed the rest of the way up the mountain, but it's ok because it's some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen in my life!
Seven: Climbed back down the mountain, but it's ok because they realized they were fucking insane to have us climb a mountain and they brought us a bus!
Eight: Met with person from 1-3 briefly. Couldn't ask for details, but they didn't seem to hate me!

Also just to talk about how awesome it is to be feba right now:

So basically in the two and a half weeks from last friday to the tuesday the week after next, I've got six days of classes to go to. And oh yeah love.

I still remember when Feba used to be an annoying little taru running around Whitegate in a teddy bear costume. And look at him now, having a life and all.

I'm happy, but it's always tough to see them go.

actually part of it may be that my team got assigned pink headbands. Which I then proceeded to use as an ascot for the rest of the camp.

also my speech patterns in Japanese are very boyish at their most masculine, girly at their most feminine.

Very few other guys there were using Boku.
