I just assumed that Taskmage sucks at running a forum, it won't be fixed until 8 months after the Japanese language falls out of use, and then it will be some simple vbulletin setting that won't toggle until he asks PiNG about it.

Also in the mean time press the quote button, it's intact, just rendered shittily.

I'm well aware of this. The usage of Quote Selected was intentional, to get you to see what I was seeing, just in case this was a problem that was isolated to me.

It turns out there are a lot of vBulletin functions that screw up large character sets, notably the one that strips consecutive spaces out of posts. I don't believe I can fix that without getting deeper into code than I'm able, but I'll look into it.

So I find myself watching old random 1st season Pokemon episodes... and I'm watching the Indigo League saga... and I'm wondering... is that even fair? Brock and Misty were basically telling Ash what to do for that whole battle in his Ice Field match. "Coaching" my ass, they told him what moves to use one after the other!

I demand justice! Disqualification! That other trainer was duped! Kingler's the shit! Why am I even watching these?!

That just makes me more sad because I want a kitty but I can't afford the $400 pet deposit. I'll feel better after I relax a while. I just found out some really distressing news - that I don't really care to share, but thanks for asking - and it's really got me down. Oh, and the fact that my hours have been cut, and I got to work a full 5 stinking hours. -.- And a whole bunch of other shit, but really, if I go into it I'll just feel worse.

Very sorry to hear that. >< A nap would do you some good - well, sometimes. Gotta do anything to release that bottled up rage; nap, strangle something, write it down on a paper, deep breaths, all that good cliche stuff that actually works.

This economy is hell for us all, my friend. Sometimes you gotta fight for it! I know I'd raise hell if my hours were cut (isn't there Unions for that sort of thing?)... if I could even find a part-time.

No union where I work. I've been shopping for another job anyway and I'm filing for partial unemployment, which is all I can do at this point. Just keep on working and get what I can until the layoff, and hope to God I find something else shortly.

As for the other problems ... well, I can't fix those on my own. Takes two to tango, you know? :/

So, I met up with my brother who lives near Tampa this weekend. I haven't seen him in four years. He seems pretty happy. His girlfriend is really sweet and smart and seems to care for him, and he obviously cares for her. IMO she's a bit young for him, but if he's happy, that's all that should really matter on my end.

It was weird though, because my brother and I have never been close. He's five years younger, and was through most of my life pretty much a non-entity in my life. I just didn't have any interest in getting to know him. I realize that's selfish sounding, but that's the way it's been. I still always see him as a seriously annoying 10 year old. But he's all growed up now, so I should probably start thinking of him differently.

My brother has always and will always bug the shit out of me. We're two different people, and he simply doesn't have the same expectations as the rest of the family. I find myself completely unable to sleep. Fuck it, I'm likely to work about 5 hours again tomorrow, I may as well pull an all-nighter. That would probably fuck me up, as now that I'm starting to reach the mid stages of adulthood, I'm already finding certain aspects of my body waning. Like my ability to just like not sleep for a day or two. Can't do that anymore.

Maybe if I didn't have such a shitty existence right now I'd be able to fall asleep. Maybe.
