My GF will do that to me from time to time, but I've never had 50 tabs open at once. Nothing near it.

Why the fuck would I use screen lock? I live alone. My dad was here for less than two days. There is never anyone else in my apartment, and thus, using any kind of password on resume would be a huge inconvenience when absolutely no one else is ever going to be in my apartment while I'm not.

Maybe if I were taking my laptop with me everywhere, but it stays home while I go to work. If I were bringing it with me everywhere and leaving it sitting around? Sure. But I'm not. I'm not going to inconvenience myself on the off chance that a visiting relative (which has happened once in the nearly 3 years since I've moved here) is going to use my laptop when I go to take a leak.

And again, my mom is the computer stupid one, not my dad. I didn't expect him to actually close my browser and not at least save my tabs. I mean fuck, it ask! If you don't understand the pop-up message leave it there and ask about it, don't just close it and ignore the warning. That's how people get viruses.

And most of the tabs were junk tabs. I was job searching, and I'll just open up a ton of tabs and read through all the listings, closing them as I eliminate them (not qualified, not nearby, doesn't pay enough, etc.). I started with nearly a hundred and narrowed it down. I can start that same search again (and will anyway, as I search weekly), it's just the principle of it all. My usual tab usage is about a dozen or so, though.

Has had a relaxing weekend with a good close female friend in Manchester. Nothing beats a 2 hour drive through the wonderfull scenery of the Peak district to arrive at someones flat to be greeted with hugs and snuggles. We took in the A-team movie at the local cinema and then watched "The book of eli" on my laptop while snuggled up on the sofa. She is a wizzard at the english language and so also helped me start restructuring my CV for the impending doom of 27th August when i get made redundant. was a shame I had to leave last night and come back to this hell hole. Never underestimate the power of hugs and snuggles to help change your mood to a positive one.

So I just spent all morning messing around with wii homebrew. Got HBC on my virgin 4.3 the other night, fastforward to the now and I've got a USB loader working, which was my main goal. Also got some of the nifty things I wanted out of preloader, so yay.

As part of all this, I had to convert my 1.5 TB drive from NTFS (factory formatting) to FAT. Right now I have basically two cloned partitions, one in FAT, one in NTFS.

I just made a joke that all I have left to do is "delete the NTFS partition, laugh, and grow FAT."

I keep coming back to having this dream I'm back in college, but in the dream, I only ever go to the classes I liked. By the end of the dream I'm usually informed I've skipped certain classes and will have to re-take them. And when the next dream comes, I skip those classes again. I only want to do the fun stuff.

I've had dreams like that before. I'd be in college, but except the college would be my highschool. Instead of having the teachers I had in college i'd have random teachers that I had from 7th-12th grade. All of which would ask for some random assignment that was for like 20% of my final grade and of course I didn't do it. Either that or it would be the end of the semester when we start new classes and I would show up in all the wrong classes. (of course I didn't do the homework for those classes either )

I stiil have bad dreams about high school. I'm going to my locker and no one is in the hall. I am panicking because I want to get in and out of it before anyone sees me. (Must be residual from being stuffed in my locker.) I get to my locker and I can't remember my combination. I'm absolutely terrified which only makes my hands shake and attempting numbers accurately impossible....then the bell rings...

So I was taking out the trash, and a lovely huge piece of broken glass was sticking out of the side (note to self: stop buying cheap shitty trash bags) and basically dug a nice pretty gash in the inside of my leg while I was walking to the dumpster.

It's not deep enough to warrant stitches (and thank god, since I'm totally not financially capable of going to any kind of doctor), but it did bleed quite a bit, so I fixed it up and I'll check on it in a few hours. That fucking hurt though. And now another reason why moving totally sucks. Shit breaks, you throw it out, you cut your fucking leg open.
