This morning when I left for work there were a bunch of people standing around outside and a bunch of cars parked in unusual places, along with a few cop cars. I figured there was an accident or something but I didn't have time to stop as I had to be to work, so I went on my merry way.

Came home and there was a note attached to our door (and everyone's, apparently) that a resident of this apartment complex had passed away. This is a college housing complex so it was someone young and that's why it was a big deal, but that explains the mystery of why people other than me were actually up at 6:30 AM. (Seriously, this complex is completely devoid of life at 6:30 AM. Bad pun, but it's true.)

Now I'm just really curious as to how the guy died. They didn't give a name on the sheet, and they didn't give really any information except for that there was no crime committed, I guess so we can continue to feel safe living here. So that means it could have been sudden illness like meningitis, suicide, drug OD, the possibilities are endless, and (again bad pun incoming) I'm dying to know.

Maybe I'm just nosy, but seriously I hate when people are being vague about things most will have a natural curiosity about. I'll have to watch the local obits for the next few days I guess.

Just be happy he/she didn't stink up the place. I once lived in a building where an old lady died downstairs and the smell wafted up the vents. Ever put meat in the refrigerator or garbage in the hot summer and it "ferments"?.....ya it was not pleasant. Top it off with this place being infested with big old rats and the nightmares of what happened to that body still haunt me. Aaaaaand now that I've been reminded of it I know what I'm in for tonight. /sigh

I have unlimited with Sprint. I verified this before subscribing.

I'll put money on you being able to ask Verizon or AT&T' help desk and sales people if unlimited meant unlimited and they'd say yes as well. What the sales person says doesn't mean much.

Not everyone who has to tether works for a large company, an allowance is either not exactly forthcoming for many small businesses and pretty much irrelevant for self employed.

What Google did was stupid. It was something to complain about. It was unwanted by just about everyone and it is one of the reasons that a lot of people do not use Bing. Google became popular because their main page didn't do this crap.

I get unlimited with my EVO, I made sure before I signed up. I pay an additional $10 with my EVO also. I'm at 1.8GB in 6 days so I'd never sign up for a 5GB limit.





I highly doubt the selling point for Google is that they don't have a background image. When they came out on the market, other engines didn't have background images. It's much ado about something small. How about tunneling that outrage at the oil spill or something worth your wrath?

That's probably a little pricier than it should be, but it's not ridiculous. A quad-core processor at 3.36GHz per core? That's pretty awesome.

Ok, the CPU below it is pretty fucking crazy, but it's for people who run render farms or something.

No they were cluttered to high heaven as they all tried to become portals and showed every stupid piece of shit they could get their hands on in a bid to keep you on their site. Googles selling point was indeed that it had a search dialog, two buttons and nothing else. It was a very big reason people started using it even before they had crawled significant portions of the web.

Yes YM....yes...an actual line from the movie. I had a living room full of 20 somethings all laughing hysterically at this movie. Then when it was over I asked them if they enjoyed their movie. "It was....okay."

I'm not sure I can call Step Brothers a good movie as a whole, but damnit if I didn't laugh out loud a lot.

Will Farrell needs to do more understated roles though. My favorite movie with him in it to date has to be Stranger Than Fiction.

Last weekend I finished watching The Guild season 2 and watched season 3 as well. I am still enjoying it, but I wasn't too impressed with Will Wheaton's character in season 3. His character on The Big Bang Theory however, as Sheldon's nemesis, is pretty good. Now basicly they are the same character, so maybe it's just the writing that turned me off.

Yep last night had a nightmare where I was paralyzed and something was knawing on my leg. Then a rat ran past my face and I woke up. My god damn leg was asleep and I had hellacious pins and needles! I wouldn't want to actually see it because just my imagination is enough!

I still see faces at night on occasions, the face of the child, the screaming parents, the mangled mess of the car we were trying to get the kid out of.. was the first fatality I attended, and you ask any firefighter around the world what sticks in their mind and it is always the first fatality they attend.

If only people see what fireghters have to deal with on day to day basis and realise that cutting jobs, fire stations and appliances is going to make the scene above more common.
