    The only reason they have fans is because people need to somehow rationalize the decision to drain their bank accounts for overpriced hardware. You come to love what you've suffered for.

      Eh. I dislike Apple too, but there are plenty of valid reasons to be a fan of their products and services. It's not any worse than any fashion brand, or gaming company.

        So i got home yesterday from work, sat down my Collectors edition Mass effect 2 case, walk away to check my mail and in a five minute span my girlfriend opened it, placed it in the xbox, had her character transfered and was watching the opening movie. She closes tonight so hopefully I can get some playtime in. I'm told there are a few minor and major changes. Im anxious to see for myself.

              So, EA is really fucking around right now. Somehow, in the distant past, my EA account was split into two different accounts with two different e-mail address. The difference between the two is @gmail and @hotmail. This occurred when I attempted to update the @hotmail account with my new e-mail address. When I log in with either one, it takes me to the same exact account page, with the same exact personas. Until recently. I had EA link my gamertag with my @gmail account, thinking it was the same exact thing as my @hotmail, but it isn't. The @hotmail account recognizes my Battlefield personas and information, while the @gmail recognizes my XBL and PSN information. My cerberus network access was seemingly lost in the transfer, as well. Additionally, when I registered my social BioWare account to redeem my terminus gear, I did so with th e@hotmail account, so I can't use that either. I'm going to ask them to merge the two accounts, if possible, and to find wherever my cerberus network access went.



              If you're smart enough to skip the confusing block of text, here's the summary: EA is epic fail, FML, they make me feel like the smartest person on the planet.

                              iPad looks interesting, but the "lol vertical layout while using keyboard" thing looks absolutely retarded. I'm not a fan in general of tablets without attached keyboards (swivel monitors, come on. Or hell, have the keyboard be on the swivel, with all of the hardware in the monitor.), but having your monitor vertical like that just looks like it would be annoying, especially if you wanted to have it docked so you could watch a movie or something along those lines. The lack of multitasking absolutely kills it; I could buy a fucking N800 that would suit my needs better than that. Or, holy crap, my so shitty it was absolutely free with contract Samsung Rant can have more than one application running at a time, even though it doesn't really have the processing power for it.

                              If someone gets Linux running well on it, at $500 for a tablet, I may just get one. A long battery life, touch display, ease of using it for reading (not having to have the entire thing open with keyboard to browse news sites, for example) would be very nice. But not if I can't listen to music while I read the news and talk to friends; or watch a video while I'm doing calculations.
