        2 years ago, when I was sitll in college, I attended our school's annual "Boarshead Dinner". It was great, the food actually tasted good which was a departure from typical school food. And we got to take home cool drinking glasses with our school's logo. As per the occasional performance, there were people singing "Christmas" carols. Only all instances of "Christmas" were replaced by "Happy Holidays". So "We wish you a Merry Christmas" became "We wish you a Happy Holiday". Now, I can understand the need for political correctness. But it's just bad when it's so obvious that it's hokey. There are neutral seasonal songs, you know...like "Winter Wonderland" or something.

        FFXI related- Did a few runs of that KSNM for Ziska's Crossbow the other day. We won 1 and split. I also got a D Cloth on my run so just picked up my share of a modest sum of money yesterday. Should I buy something responsible (Terra Staff) or irresponsible...

          Always pick up the irresponsible item, that way you can rope people into helping you again later to get the responsible item.

          As for staring at screens, yeah it might be time to take a break, you don't want to end up like me. Over the last few months my eyes have become perpetually bloodshot, it's kind of worrisome but nothing's happened yet.

            If your school wanted to sing a Jewish song that normally gets sung at a Haunnukah celebration, are they going to take out the Happy Haunnukah and say Happy Holidays instead too? Why butcher a perfectly wonderful, seasonal song and instead, sing different songs from different religions lol? That is very HOKEY.

            Case in point, I don't want to believe in New Year's Day. Because to me, the new year feels and seems just like the day before and nothings changed. Who is going to cater to me since I do not believe in New Year's Day? WHERES MY LOBBYISTS? Can I change it to Happy Day after Tomorrow? /sar
