It doesn't say too much about that series, if it's a damn convention, and the panelists don't even bother to show up.

Then too, it was a small convention and they might have showed up after we left. Me and my friend that I was with, only stayed in the panel about 30-45 mins and then we jetted. The thing was supposed to be about 2 hours long and for whatever reason nobody seemed to know where the panelists were. During the whole time we were there, everybody was battling out inconsistencies between the other series and UC. It was interesting to watch.

Feba, when I was at that Anime Convention, they had a "UC Gundam is the Best" panel.

It's not so much that UC Gundam is singularly THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST as much as it is that any other series is a terrible place to start with the franchise.

While I would agree that it doesn't really represent Gundam AT ALL and it's definitely crafted from a different mold, it's a really enjoyable show, even though it starts off as a Monster of the Week type show, then alot of plot, then some Tournament Monster of the Week show, then more plot. I would also agree to not watch at first, since it'll give you false indications of the type of show Gundam is.

I'd watch UC first imo, start with the MSG recap movies, then Zeta, then ZZ(skip like, alot of the beginning episodes if you need to lol, it gets better second half), and Char's Counterattack. After that hit up some of the OVA's like 08th MS Team, 0083, etc etc since they all take place during the above series. I, personally, enjoyed Victory Gundam, although many hate it, so watch the first 10-15 episodes and...well don't want to spoil it, but if you can keep watching from there then finish it. Never watched F91 so no comment. After that watch all of Turn A Gundam. All of it. You're pretty much done with UC now until Gundam Unicorn airs.

From the alternate universes, Gundam Wing is a good show, G Gundam as I've mentioned is a great show to just watch, it could have nothing to do with Gundam and still be enjoyable. Gundam X is kind of similar to Gundam Wing in some aspects so I'd also check it out, I liked it. I'd stay away from SEED honestly, first one isn't bad, but if you watch Destiny it pretty much will make you keep watching and then regret you ever watched it once it finishes. Gundam 00 season 1 is pretty awesome, although you MIGHT want to wait for the recap movie coming out to watch out, since they are correcting a certain fight. Season 2 is also enjoyable but imo doesn't compare to the first, although the final fight is pretty good.

Poetic is just how I've been feeling lately.

Although it gets REALLY easy to talk like Yoda after you spend enough time learning Japanese, since fucking everything is backwards anyway.

We are having a throwback day at work tomorrow, basically bring in a pic of ourselves when we are young. I have none of these, so I called my dad to see if he did. He's out of town, but his wife couldn't find any.

Fuck.

So I called my mother, the same mother who basically disowned me. I asked if she could maybe find it in her to do me that small favor. Told her it was for school because that makes it seem more important. I told her to e-mail it if she could. She said she didn't have my e-mail, so I offered to e-mail her first.

What is it about that woman that makes me wish I were dead? Nothing I have ever done or will ever do will be good enough for her to accept me, that I am human and that I make decisions she does not agree with. If I died tomorrow I don't think she would care.

Hell, when I do call - on rare occasions, and usually only for important things not minor shit, - I try to talk to her, and she just doesn't care to converse with me.

I may be 1500 miles away from my own kids but I hope that I never ever make them feel for even one second that I do not want them around or that I do not love them enough to talk to them for more than forty-five seconds of my life.

Man, that sucks... Sorry about that Aks... I guess the good thing is that you know how your mom makes you feel, and you learn from that, and know you will never make your kids feel that way. That's the positive spin!
