I have a stomach virus. It feels like there's a blender in my stomach and it's set to liquefy. It kind of sounds like a coffee-maker in my stomach before making a pot of nice, hot brew.

Damn flu shot made me sick this year, its been 4 days now. Too weak for even the inactivated vaccine. Not even sure if I can get the swine flu shot now because of this one. Damn near died last year because of not getting the flu shot and then getting the damn flu. You know I'm getting really irritated....you can die from the f**king flu....the damn shit that you hoped you'd get when you were a kid so you could stay home from school....what the f**k!

Some doctor was saying on the morning radio show I listen to, that you could get the Swine Flu Shot and the Flu Shot at the same time... I was like WTF!!! What if you get some hybrid version of the Double Flu?! AINT NO CURE FOR THAT!

I thought the concept behind vaccination was to introduce what amounts to a dead version of the flu so that your body can kill it easily and set up the recognition for future invasions.

God that would have been more coherent if I had bothered paying attention in Biology class.

That sounds about right. IIRC the shots may also lower your immune system. The last time I got one in 2007 I got the flu about 5 days later. Last year I didn't get it and I didn't get the flu either lol. I'm thinking I might as well get one this year or at least get the Swine Flu one.

You probly got sick from the shot like TGM did and confused it with the flu. But they beefed swine flu up worse than what it is lol. I'm not scurred. Only for my kid though..

Yes, like I said I had the inactivated version of the virus but even at that you can get fever, aches, and just generally shitty feeling like you have the flu. It usually happens to people with a weak immune system from illness and thats why it hit me so hard this year. So getting the Swine Flu shot scares the hell out of me after feeling like shit these past few days....I don't want to go through that again!

FYI, the nasal spray flu is an ACTIVE virus. So be aware of that if you have a weakened immune system OR if you live with or have close contact with someone that has a weakened immune system. Getting the nasal spray version could make you or someone close to you sick with the flu.

Well when you get older that might change. LOL Sometimes you just don't have the choice not to get it. I could opt out if I didn't volunteer. Because I do I tend to go to the hospital quite often to work with young people and anyone working in a hospital has to get the flu shot. If I decide to pass on the H1N1 inoculation I just might have to limit my volunteering.
