Re: Official bored at work / just shooting the shit / no rails to derail thread
That's pretty bad, but I think I've had worse luck. To sum up all my adventures with my old Eagle Vision: I get one hour on the road and it's dead. Even less on hot days. One hour later it's back up and running again, but it's shaky and needs to sit parked somewhere. It finally died, and I bought a used Chevy Lumina. I paid $1700 for a car I knew would need a little extra work, but it turned out to need $2300 worth. I waited a month for the title number to register it, and now there's another problem with it and I'm taking it in tomorrow.
The worst time I had with the Eagle was when the transmission died, and I spent an hour driving down highway 70, usually a half-hour drive, in second gear because it was locked into safe-mode. I don't think I got about 40MPH on a highway with a speed limit for 65, where people routinely go 80. Once I got off of it, it died, still a half-hour from my house on any other day, and it cost me $50 to get it towed to the shop.
Cars, man, what the fuck.
