Actually I have an extremely unhealthy but tasty as hell sauce recipe for when that happens:

You'll need the soft chicken bullion cubes, I usually use the Knorr brand.

Little bit of EV Olive Oil, a clove or two of garlic, 2 tablespoons of butter, and one bullion cube...basically put the butter and EVOO in the bottom of the pot while the noodles are hanging out in the collander or whatever, either use a garlic press or mince it really finely, toss that in. Give that a minute or so over low-medium heat, then mash in the bullion cube, will have to mash it around a bit to break it up fully. Let it go another minute or to, lay in the pasta, end of story.

Also if you have Pesto a small amount of that goes good.

When I was filling out a school application this year for school, they asked my sexuality and race, and honestly I have no idea why you would ask someone that. Or even care for that matter, I think that is stupid and rude to ask someone what there race and sexuality is, that has nothing to do with school. Sorry, I get heated when I get asked stupid questions. I also hate the what is your race question on job applications, but I know why they do it for jobs, but it is different then school right?

They ask race for affirmative action reasons, as for sexuality, seems a bit beyond the bounds of "their business" but I guess they could ensure diversity of sexual preferences as well that way.

Yeah I guess so lol, never though about it that way, I still don't think it is peoples business, they should accept you for you, even if they don't know what you are. I think knowing someones race or sexual orientation gives them more of a idea who they want in there school or at a job more so if you didn't even tell them.

In other words, lets say you are black, and you didn't tell them you were black, they would higher you. But, what if you put black on your application? That means they can choose to higher you or accept you depending on if they like blacks or whites. (same thing goes with sexuality) I also know it is against the law to not higher someone because of there race,religion,sexuality, etc. But, people seem to do it anyway. My ex is a prime example of that, we are both gay yes. But my point is they lied and told him something was wrong with his background check, I have friends who are cops so we asked them to check is background, and there was nothing wrong with it at all. I think they just dont higher gays, that or they don't higher blacks, but we cant prove that to anyone. But, my point is I think if they don't know they shouldn't have more of a reason to higher you then not.

And I know what you mean. Most of the time those questions are optional, though, or they have a "Prefer not to answer" option. I don't really care, myself, as I've got nothing to hide. Although with my last name (Aguilar) I could play off like I'm Mexican if I thought it would work to my advantage, but my cover would be blown if they ever heard my Spanish!

You do realize that these sorts of questions can be asked purely on for statistical reasons, having nothing to do with their personal choices towards you, right?

Like the census. It's not that they care about you, it's that they care about keeping good records.

Rented Journey to the Center of the Earth last night, it sucked, majorly. That was a big disappointment and a major letdown. They didn't even try to be creative and they glossed over several parts of the book, even though in the movie the book was 100% accurate and they were using it as a guide to get out. Lame.

On the plus side, Age of Innocence and Gangs of New York have yet to be beaten for all time worst movies ever.


And seeing as TGM needs a good, if painful, laugh...

I was sending out a bunch of resumes the other day and I sent out a cover letter for another company with the wrong resume.

It had a nice little blurb about me being oh so detail oriented too >.>

Just goes to show you, either be extra super careful or just don't do that kinda stuff while there is alot of crazy stuff going on at home. Or just go out and do it at the library.

I did a similar one where I had emailed them a resume that said the same thing, except had forgotten to attach the resume to the email the first time, I just went ahead and gave up on that one right away.

And holy crap, I thought it was hard to motivate myself to do work before they said they were laying me off, this is just impossible now.
