Completely unrelated note, the building I work in is infested with crickets, various beetles and the occasional (not so little) wolf spider that gives me the heeby-jeebies.

Mind if I ask what you do that you work in a building thats infested with insects?? And personally, I draw the line at spiders over the size of the eraser on top of a pencil. I'll come back to work after you get the exterminator in here.

Before the clinic I'm at now opened, we were at a building in an open field. Used to see lots of centipedes, about 6 inches long.

System administration. The building essentially sits in a swamp so an exterminator wouldn't actually be able to do anything about it. I've been considering bringing a harpoon to work, or a sword and shield. I seem to be able to get the exterminating done pretty well in Altepa with a sword.

LOL! I'd have to wear like one of those bee suits to work. I suffer from paralyzing Arachnophobia. True story: We lived in a townhouse when our children were young. The area we lived in did not have school buses so it was walk/drive your young children to school. We were having the cement patio outside the backdoor torn out and work done on the brick on the back of the townhouse. So the back door was sealed shut and we could only use the front door. I went to leave to take the kids to school and there was a spider on the screen of the door. It was about the size of a dime at most. The kids did not go to school that day. (And yes I caught my son talking with my daughter about putting spiders on the doors after they saw this. LOL)

Another time a spider came down from the ceiling right in front of my face at my desk. I broke my foot getting away from it. Ya.....I have issues.

My mom really hates spiders. I might photoshop a picture of me standing victorious over a 20foot tall spider and give it to her as a birthday gift with a cheesy saying.

My mom is the same way about Spiders... I just don't get why... They're not that bad.

I'm a big weenie about spiders and bugs in general really, but I can usually keep my reactions to bursts of profanity. Though the one time that a spider lowered itself in front of my face I did almost break everything on the desk attempting to kill it.

For the most part I know what parts of the building to avoid. The spring of my first year here they changed maintenance guys and one Monday the new guy came in to find the tool room full, and I do mean full, of baby praying mantises. They were all over the walls, floor, everywhere. I didn't go anywhere near there for a while.

I despise spiders, but I don't fear them. Cockroaches, on the other hand, terrify and disgust me. I can't deal with them.

I used to work at a place full of cockroaches. Place was right on top of 2 restaurants, which turned out to be completely infested, I took a peek once in one of their storages and it was no wonder that they had bug infestations, I'm so glad i always carried lunch with me.

Bugs in general i can't stand. Either I can kill them which i do, or i run away.

When I was 13, my dad took me to live in Aberdeen, Ohio across the bridge from Maysville, Kentucky (George Clooney's old stomping grounds). He travelled a lot with his job and for this one they put him up in a trailer park. Well the trailer he had was ok but he started whoring with this woman in the trailer park and her trailer was INFESTED with cockroaches and rats. When I say infested, I mean they were everywhere. You slept with ALL the lights on because of it......but that actually didn't stop the little f**kers just made it less of them. We used to throw bottles/cups/whatever at the rats that ran across the living room as we were watching tv. Fell asleep watching the whores kids one night (with the lights on) and woke to one of her kids screaming. Seems a rat decided to eat the shirt the little kid was wearing to bed because he got some juice on it when he ate supper. In the process, the rat started to chew a whole into the kid too. I was blamed for this since I didn't make him change his pj's after seeing him drip kool-aid on them. Hmmmm let's see, I don't usually live in rat infested homes and wasn't aware, at the age of 13, that a rat would actually try to eat your pj's and YOU! That was the night my dad shot me in the leg.........but thats another story.
