The pre-paid card won't work for some reason. I registered it online for the zip code, just like the customer service lady said, but it still isn't working. And it even says in the accont history that it's pending from POL but it won't go through.

Yep that happened in WI today too. I was out with my son teaching him how to drive and down it came like crazy! Top if off that the drivers side wiper worked but the passengers doesn't. Damn thing went out 3 days ago and I haven't had it fixed yet. Then the wind kicked in and he started to freak. Poor kid is so scared of driving and then that happens. (I couldn't help it but I busted a gut laughing....I'm going to hell.)

Maybe it takes a few hours for the card to register money is on it? I know that prepaid Mastercards and Visa cards do work though because my cousin uses one.

When the forum is not active, it does nothing to ease my boredom. Even BG is slow tonight.

I did get to watch CK do Dynamis tonight ... sucks so much watching others play. Though I got to play his character while he went out for a cigarette a few times.

No my son is 25 and had an accident when he was 16 where he was broadsided on his side of the car. So now he's kind of skitish around cars and its taken many years of coaxing, pleading, and therapy to get him this far. I'm just glad he's at the stage where he will try....we're going forward at least!

I did remind him today what he said to me about driving. (This was before the accident.) He told me he's got this driving thing down no problem cause he plays a lot of racing/driving games. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA Should have seen him the first time he was behind the wheel. I got him about 2 blocks from the house and he pulled over and said "I'm done." and he was shaking. I insisted he drive and he just turned around and walked home. So much for the "experience" he thought he had!

Nah, your doing him a favour, best it happens when your in the car with him while hes learning, then it happens when hes on a motorway (sorry freeway) on his own and panics.

Personally, I hate driving. I've been through driver's ed, had a license for a time, but I let it expire. I just loathe the experience. For one thing, I have a problem with not being able to control things well-- I always put either too much or too little gas on (which is especially annoying when I'm trying to just go in a straight line, because even then I have to constantly check my speed to make sure I'm not going over the limit), and the same goes for steering. I also have a very hard time managing all of the visual input (Forward, mirrors, and to some extent sides; and that's just watching traffic; not even considering signs and signals.) I CAN do it, but I just hate everything about it. Plus, there's not much of a point having a license without a car, and those are too much of a PITA for me to deal with. Also, the fact that I've very nearly caused two accidents (well, one of them kinda-sorta wasn't my fault; the road was very bad; the city has been working on trying to improve it because it's just a risky spot) doesn't really inspire confidence. Oh, and before you bother saying that I just need to do it more often until I get used to it, I've done it plenty enough. I'm firmly of the opinion that bad drivers SHOULD NOT DRIVE; and I'm one of the worst drivers I meet (in terms of skill, anyway. I'd rather have a bunch of unskilled drivers out there following road laws than a bunch of skilled ones ignoring it, but hey.)

Maybe when we start getting fly-by-wire and government restrictions loosen to allow gamepad controls, it will be a bit easier for me to deal with, but by then we'll have robotic cars anyway. Or maybe just robots driving our cars.

I'm a bit of the opposite Feba, I do see myself as a good driver (many people have commented this) I enjoy driving and being in a rural location i have no choice but to drive.

I hate, however, to be a passenger. I am one of those people who nearly puts my foot through the passengers floor well braking for the person driving. Or getting worried when they overtake and I'm wondering do they have enough omphh to get passed before they meet this car coming the other way etc.

Maybe because I'm in control when I'm driving and the amount of accidents I have attended to rescue people from puts me off from being in a car when I don't have control.
