I had a Gaia account... when I was 12. No shit, that's really how old I was.

It was amusing back then I suppose, but in retrospect, nothing more than an extremely over-crowded internet forum with a neat personal avatar system.

Gaia is ok, the main interest was dressing your character which if you were broke was just frustrating. As for the actual forums, they're too fast moving (as in your post will disappear off of the first page in the blink of an eye) and just seem to promote spam and pointless posts rather than discussions. It reminded me of a retarded chatroom rather than a forum.
I used it when I was younger but not anymore.

I've always said I'd never play more than one MMO because my social life would be non-existant and I love FFXI too much to leave it for another, although I have tried several others like WoW (hated it), Dark Age of Camelot (god knows what that was but it didn't last long) and Second Life which I just couldn't get into, it just seemed to me if I wanted to go out and dance, and go clothes shopping I could just do it in RL but I can see why loads of people would love it. It reminded me of a better version of that Habbo Hotel thing everyone used to be so mad about, which I couldn't stand either >_>
