If we don't like something, collectively, if our hatred for it throbs like an abscess beneath every thread, does that mean that they're doing something right?

edit: ok that pisses me off when that happends. Basically I like apple, and its stuff is cute! I just wouldnt pay that much money for it! Also I think it weird to use handsfree headsets to be quite honest with you.

Heh. Hands free headset feels funny at first, but if you get a good one, you'd adapt soon enough. The one I used to have I sometimes left on my ear for hours, forgetting it was there.

I used to do the same with my glasses, back before my vision got to the point where I didn't need them. Which was annoying, because a lot of time I'd be looking around for my glasses, only for someone to point out after minutes of frustrating searching that they were on my face.
I dislike handsfree headsets for one reason though- people are way too loud with them. When people have to hold their phone to their ear, they tend to be more sane about the amount of noise they're making. Almost everyone i've seen with a handsfree is about three times louder than they need to be- and that's hard to deal with on the phone with them, let alone having to deal with them in a public place.

I agree with you totaly, I hate when people put speaker phone on in public...its anoying and not everyone wants to know your conversation in the first place. But anyway to get back on track about the Iphone, can it play movies? Or just trailers?

So the iPhone is finally out, is it?
I used to work for the "new at&t" in a call center in my area. People would get so mad when I couldn't tell them the exact day the iPhone was coming out. (At the time, we didn't know.)
Now that it's out, I'm so glad I don't work there anymore. I can just imagine all the calls they're getting, "How do I load music on my iPhone?" "How do I go on the internet?" "How do I text lolz?" Because a lot of people are too stupid to look at the manual and would rather make call center employees look it up for them instead. -_-;
As for the actual iphone itself, for me, it's not worth it in any way. If I want an MP3 player, I get an MP3 player, if I want a phone I get a phone. I don't need to constantly watch videos or use e-mail so those functions don't interest me in the least. It's just a whole lot of 'meh' to me and has way more things then I'd ever actually want to use so I'm certainly not getting one.
Having said that, it does look like a nice toy for those who really want it.
