Agreed, except for the whole "Texas" bit.
Rodin, where the hell do you buy your CDs?
I don't Limewire.
Nah, actually, when I want to buy a CD, I'll go to Circuit City or F.Y.E., since whenever I try to get them from Target (Wal-Mart doesn't sell explicit versions....spineless bastards) they never have the exact CD I'm looking for. They're always like 20-25 bucks when I go. (I listen to music like Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Kanye West, etc.)
I also think it's funny that the Recording Industry is being screwed over by the same loopholes and shady practices that they use to screw over recording artists.

Re: NBC says movie piracy hurts the corn industry?
Don't you have any independent music stores in your town? You can generally find at least one near a college campus. Those are always better places to go than FYE or Circuit City.
Re: NBC says movie piracy hurts the corn industry?
So all you have are big national chains? Why would anyone live in a place like that?
edit: Honestly, you'd be better off ordering online. You could get 2-3 CDs for the same price, and get free shipping besides. It's why I never buy new books in the store anymore (unless they are on sale). I can always get them for less online.
Re: NBC says movie piracy hurts the corn industry?
I just get music from http://www.allofmp3.com. Great site, Russian mafia owns it. RIAA ain't gonna pressure them.
They have songs as cheaply as .20¢ each. Depending on how you want the songs encoded. Albums cost $2-3 bucks @ 192 kbps cbr. I think I bought Continuum the latest John Mayer CD for about $2.
Re: NBC says movie piracy hurts the corn industry?
Meh, most of the time, I find books cheeper in the store than online. Though, CDs are a bit borderline no difference from what I see in FYE, Target, Wal-Mart, iTunes and Borders. Barely a 2-3 dollar difference. Gotta love Virginia and its higher than PA sales tax. >_>;;;;

Really? Every time I go to Barnes and Noble, or one of the other corporate booksellers, everything is full jacket price (generally about $25+ for a Hardcover, which is pretty much all I buy - I hate mass market paperbacks). Online I can always find them for 30-40% less than that.
corn is in everything, lobbiests even work hard to make sure High Fructose Corn Syrup is in every soda you buy. Even though its the most unhealthy thing IN soda.
HFCS mostly just adds empty calories; not a real concern with moderate soft drink intake, unless you have a tendency to grow love handles. >_> (I'm against it mostly because it's mislabeled--how could it not be an "artificial sweetener"? When is the last time you bit into corn and "syrup" came out?!)
The high acidity (from carbonic acid?), on the other hand, melts your teeth... Thanks to that, you can say soda pop is bad for you from the first sip to the last.
