You "have to be there" to understand the "fads", at least for 4chan. It's a type of humor that requires participation. A lot of people pretend they are "/b/tards" like white people pretend they are ganstas... so you get a lot of copycats who don't know when the right moment to bring out a meme. You aren't getting the pure 4chan experience from some dude on some random forum that isn't 4chan.

Agreed, BRP. I've been on sort of a /b/reak since I spend too much time there, but I hope to return soon. The only forum you can get anything close to the 4chan experience though is 7chan, and then they're much shit compared to 4chan. Except the Rule34 board, that was a good idea.

That's the thing though, 4chan doesn't have standards. It's not out to make anything good. /b/ is one of the few places anymore you are discouraged to be civil, PC, or whatever else you want to call it. While everyone else was acting shocked over Katrina, /b/ was laughing at the idiots for not leaving town. /b/ is the part of you that wants to laugh whenever you see someone with a horrible deformity, or a small animal injuring itself.

Ah yes, another peeve of mine, people who think that Ebaumsworld is terrible because of Eric Bauman himself, and the "stealing" issues that always come up. Not going there. I personally don't give a damn about all that, because I visited the main site years ago and signed up to the forum to make one comment, and I got hooked. I honestly just like the community there.

And that brings me to another peeve, which is people who invade other forums and cause internet wars. FFS, it's the fucking internet. What are you trying to prove, that your "1337" life is all of a sudden more "1337" now because you "pwned" a bunch of people you don't know in the virtual world?
