Guys i need some help, I might be moving to Canada from the Usa.

My other half is a French citizen do u think he would have any problems becoming a resident in canada; and what about me a Born American Citizen.

Now would i be able to take my Mazda Speed Miata to Canada or do i need to sell it, i really love the car and would love to keep it.

The reason i am leaving is a personal reason but i can tell you i will be leaving everything behind my family and friends and my whole life. But i made a Promise to my partner and where he goes i go..

I don't know enough about Canada to give much help; I've only been there once. However, through a simple Google search, I've found someone (er something) that can help: http://www.canada.gc.ca/main_e.html (English version of Canadian Government website).

I'm sure that's at least some helpful info to be found there.

You can get your Mazda into Canada w/ the Ferry from Washington to Victoria, BC. I don't know too much about attaining Canadian Citizenship, but it shouldn't be TOO hard to do.

Also, I think you have to have a passport now to get into Canada. Didn't use to be like that, but there were border changes made.... >.<

I'm not sure why anyone would want to hold onto a Miata, but there isn't any reason that you wouldn't be able to take it. It's another country, yes, but it's just north of us, and is geographically pretty much the same. They have paved streets and everything.

I imagine so long as your motives aren't shady (but that's not up for me to decide), you shouldn't have much of a problem. But really, some random folks on a FFXI related forum aren't the best ones to ask. You can find the answers to most of this via Google.

I'm sure you could take the Miata with you, but I believe they use a higher percentage of ethenol in thier gas. The car needs to be able to handle the fuel or it will ruin all the seals and gaskets.

Any flex fuel car is okay in Canada, and a lot of other cars are okay for Canada as well, it depends on how it was manufactured and for what region. You'd have to contact Miata or ask a mechanic if the car would be able to handle the fuel.

I know nothing about citizenship, but a friend of mine moved from Tiawan to Canada so I'm sure it's possible.

the reason i want to keep the miata is its a turbo miata 4000 made ever in the usa its very rare. It's a 2004 msm with 17,000 miles pushing 240 hp and does the 1/4 mid 13secs. Its my top and my love.... beside my partner that is
