I think it's stress honestly. Lots of pressure in school/work. Finishing my PhD this year and moved from adjunt faculty to full time faculty at the community college I teach at.

Was getting fat while I was just going to school taking easy classes, but once I started teaching and taking harder corses I've been racking my brain.

I'm 5'4" (shorty) and I eat...eat...eat...

But weigh (not sure in pounds?) 8st. Have been since I was 16 (21 now) and I just CANNOT put on weight.

I went through a whole bodybuilder phase, drinking those protein drinks and eating all the foods/meals....and I got to 9st. Stopped for a week or two and back to 8st.

I realise Im making myself very unpopular right know.

All my friends say when I hot 40 ill blow up like a balloon...but my dad's a chef, over 40 and the most he's got is a tiny bump. Mum's tiny 5'3" and really ...um... fragile.

I found that turning ~24ish drastically reduced my ability to take off additional weight. Your metabolism slows and settles as you get older.

Now I'm just trying to keep myself from getting even more weighty. And to be truthful, I'm not terribly fat but there's some areas that make me /sigh when I see them and remember how they used to be. Belly, butt, thighs ... /sigh (again!) this is depressing.
