The safe money bet is that if better graphic is planned, and it's more involved than art asset upgrades, it'd come during or before (one of) beta test(s).Bamboo shadows sweep the stars,

the game is out already? There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

The closed beta also used the higher quality client.
The game just came out today, Jei.
The transition from beta to launch was pretty much seamless. Those who already had the high-quality client installed merely needed to enter their product key from their box, without having to download anything else. They also included a grace period for pre-order customers who might not have gotten their game today (due to shipping, or not being able to get out to the store or whatever), so those players can continue to play for a few more days while waiting for their game to arrive. Pretty nice, really.
As I said above, not every game is for every player. I played FFXI from 2003 until the beginning of this year. I'm ok with moving on.

Re: Where's Murphie?
Whoah! I didn't realise there were few FFXl players who had an interest in the new LoTR game.
I played the beta just recently, and really rather enjoyed it too.
I thought there were so many quests to get through at the start though, so I have ordered the new official, proper version which should be arriving to me in just a few days.
I'm a little worried that with the new official version, I would have to go through some of the quests again which I have already done in th beta version, and I didn't want to continue with it, as I didn't want to do anymore quests that would spoil the surprise and enjoyment I will hopefully get from the new official version. So I deleted the beta from my comp, and will hopefully get alot more out of the proper thing!
I've looked at those screenshots in the link which someone posted here, (I'm sorry. Can't remember who it was now.) and I must say.... they look quite stunning! I agree about the quality though. To me, they do look somewhat dumned down next to the quality of FFXl, (kind of looks more cartoon like than 3D) but hopefully I will get better enjoyment when I start playing for real.
Edit : It's about half an hour later, and I just found out that my new LoTR game has just arrived to me. YAYY!
Time to go set it up. See you guys in Middle Earth!Last edited by Snowball; 04-25-2007, 04:39 AM.(\ /)

Second, someone made a thread about you being missing so people noticed
Third, you're on the top 7 posters, it didn't take much to notice your post count continue to go up and conclude you're not 'missing.'
