Hmm, ok... what is it with posting a meaningless thread?

    Care to explain what's revolting?

Hmm, actually, closing this would work also.

Snip and then a big sigh makes me think of a vasectomy or castration.

Edit: I should ave elaborated how this shows how bad obesity is in America now, sorry. I was really close to fallin asleep and got tired.

                Macht pulls out the sheers.

                Snip, snip!!!

Pfft, you should see the "Why Americans are Dumb" type videos. Person goes around and asks american's questions like name a country that starts with a "U". Not one of them said United States, hell they didn't even give a country that started with a "U".

A single person being grotesquely obese proves nothing.

I could post pics of me without a shirt on, then you'd think the entire US was grossly underfed or something.

As far as obesity in america, it's bad but overall I think it's starting to get better.

On a final note, around the same time this story came out, there were stories/vids about some grossly overweight child in Russia as well.

                      For some reason, given your avatar, I always imagined you fat ethicket. >.>;;

My wife and i together weight less than 230 pounds, I'm 6 ft tall, and she's 5'10". When ever we go somewhere to eat we get a strange look from the server when we start ordering tons of food.

As far as obesity in America, just depends who you talk to. I think America's main problem is the extremes we go to. We are either all about diet, fitness and such, or are total lazy fatasses. Same with cars, either super compact sports car, or the largest piece of metal with wheels.

America, in my opinion, lacks self-constraint. All or nothing sort of attitude.

Meh, look at the highschools >_>; Espically in VA. Compared to PA, more people weight more to the dangerous levels. At PA, i used to be one of the overwieght students, though tank fully not the extremely big ones (280 until two year where i kepted 215 steady.) In VA several students I see in the hall ways and during lunch are in the 5'5" or taller and 290lbs or even more range o.O even a couple of them, that well custom chairs should be provided. So yea, its still a problem.

Well she wasn't exactly lying, but I'd have to say that we have both ends of the spectrum here. Starving kids on one end and enormous kids on the other.

Well they have fat people in china to... it just goes to show we often turn blind eyes to out own problems and worry about others.

I was reading The Great Gatsby for my English Class... there was a snipet in there... let me quote it:

I was reading somewere that the sun is getting hotter every year, before you know it we'll land up in the sun.
Looks like they had Global Warming 82 years ago also!
