  • It's official: T.Rex was Delicious

What an ironic slut karma can be.

T.Rex was the voracious predator to beat, back in his day. Now his descendants are eaten voraciously.

Too bad he never evolved into an eagle or owl, or anything else remotely hard-assed.

Well I guess it's good that they died out/evolved, PETA would have them protected, no KFC, Popeyes, or Churches...

All in all I'm much happier with an occasional illegally kept chicken then I would be with an illegally kept T-Rex inside city lines..

I can hardly wait to hear how evangelical christians will reason this from bible scripture.

Good thing I didn't get a hold of that T-Rex bone first. I would have just crafted it into Gelatin for some petty gil.

Oh they'll find a way, they always try to, even if its completely illogical.

Re: It's official: T.Rex was Delicious

I thought most Evangelical Christians these days just reject speciation, though grudging accept that species can change (slightly) over time?

Doubtful they'd need new arguments; the standard
                    • "Dating techniques are not perfect",
                    • "Humans make errors", and
                    • "God practiced code reuse."

would cover this nicely. (OK, I kind of made the last one up. But, it's not far from the mainstream Evangelical beliefs, I think?)
                    Bamboo shadows sweep the stars,
                    yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
leaving no trace in the water.

I was making a reference to this. They reject evolution and carbon dating based on the follow type of arguements...

Woah, they can't even understand the difference between evolution and creation?!

The strange part about that peanut butter video is that they never reference the bible at all.

I don't want some guy looking briefly into a jar of peanut butter (without even looking for microscopic life, no less) to try to impose the idea that his little stunt has anything to do with either science or religion.

I've read many parts of the bible in my day, and I like the little strange parts that people don't really focus on. One choice piece was a little disclaimer, basically. It was along the lines of "Yep, you're probably going to look like a fool for believing this stuff, because it doesn't make sense with how the world works. That's because this book isn't about how the world works."

Yet, peanut butter guy and his cronies will try to make something up. It's like trying to use a cook book to explain the psycology of whales.

Aligators taste like chicken. I'm sure a lot other dinosaurs do.
There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.
