Well he's more of a playboy/alcoholic/industrialist robocop. Im pretty sure the alcoholic side of the story will be played considering its Robert Downey Jr.

That reminds me of a scene from the Simpsons episode when they go to Hollywood.

Marge: Look, they're making a movie! Robert Downey, Jr. is shooting it out with the police.

Bart: I don't see any cameras.

This could actually work. As it alludes to on that page, if that's the prototype suit and he moves to the more traditional one by the end of the film, then that's cool.

I heard in the beginning he's supposed to be a kidnapped inventor working in a cave (probably why the suit is in a cave) for some evil industrialist or something. He creates the suit and manages to escape using it.

After debuting with bulky grey armor, Iron Man was redesigned with similar but golden armor in his second story (issue #40, April 1963), with the first iteration of his familiar, sleek red-and-golden armor

              Guessing that's his prototype suit.

I wonder how closely they stick to the story. I was always a fan of Iron Man, I just hope they do him justice, dodgy ticker and all.

He had Captain America killed, what a casper milquetoast. I'm not going to see it out of principle.

That's pretty obviously his proto type suit that he makes while being held captive or some such thing. Gotta admit it does look like the original comic version, which is cool. But the real deal will be his red and yellow suit which I'm sure will be the one used most. His grey armor is akin to Spidey wearing the red sweater and ski mask when he fought that wrestling match. It's the origins of the costume, but not the final product.

actually, the real deal will be the golden version of the gray armor. the classic red and yellow one came a few issues later.

Stark didn't have Cap killed. That was Red Skull. Stark isn't a villain, despite him doing some not-so-nice things to other heroes.
